Well, I'm new to this site, and have finally decided to give this whole thing a try. Sent my DPA letter on Wednesday, so I'm only at the early stages! Have just read all of this post, and had to say it was very enlightening! Thanks everyone for great advice, makes me think that I'm doing the right thing.
PS im taking on Lloyds TSB, so wish me luck! :jYou're so very special, I wish I was special :dance:0 -

I didn't mark mine as SAR but know they had it because they've change some details I asked them to. Have I gone wrong in not marking it?
Thanks for all your help to everyone here BW

I sent my letter before action on the 19th to the Abbey for £610. From what I've read, the Abbey will keep saying 'on your bike' all the way, so I'm ready with my £30 after the 14 days to go to court. I guess I might get another 'bog off' letter before the 14 days are up.
I've opened a parachute account with the natwest if it gets nasty with the Abbey, although my biggest fear is them closing the account as I've got a £1200 o/ and the charges, if (no, WHEN!) I'm successful will only wipe half of my o/d."Stay Wonky":D

I just spent my Saturday evening browsing my bank statements back to 1995 ( yes I know I should get a life!!!)
I did't think we'd had any bank charges in the last six years, but it turns out it's around £500.
Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow.....findng out what the heck to do next !!!!Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:
