This is just so frustrating, it seems so stupid that the review site has studied your review and seen proof of dealings with Jual but STILL are bowing to pressure from them. This seems to be exactly what happened with s5h.net.

Jual obviously seem to suspect that reviewers will not go through the hassle of it all so obviously keep badgering away until they break them down. You will see that by reading s5h.net complaint that the review site seem to cave in with all the talk of legal action etc.

I just find it incredulous why the review site don't seem to think that they can challenge Jual because they must have their own legal team who can finally scrutanise and ok your review.

I personally think that the review site should not even allow any reviews of Jual Domestics on their site good or bad, Surely they are allowed to do this as they own the site. Any thoughts on this?

Thank god for Money Savings Expert forums.

    Hmm,
I'm not sure what to do now. I was looking for a Beko washing machine. All the reviews are really good, so I wonder realistically how many bad reviews have been removed?
This however now leaves me in a dilemma.
I suspect part of the reason the review site is reluctant to keep a negative review is because they may earn affiliate money, so it's possible it's in their favour to remove a bad review with little persuasion, but I could be wrong.
It would seem it may have been in Juals favour in the long run to have given our hacked off op a free upgrade as a gesture of goodwill, even if they don't believe the customer. It seems this thread may have lost them a lot of business. Comet is £9 more, so maybe I might go with them. A shame as I need to order some integreted stuff too shortly and they seem to offer really good deals.

  • I am so disappointed with Jual Domestics

I confirm they have been difficult with the review website when I tried to leave a negative comment on my experience with them, they requested to withdraw my comment.... I have slightly amended it but will not let them censure my views!

I also spoke to the manageress over the phone and she clearly lacked of customer service skills, quoting:

'with all due respect..' used 3 times in our earlier conversation - not a favourite of mine as it often means what ever follows will not be respectful

'you clearly just called to have an argument' - in fact I called as my husband and I were verbally told the item you agreed to replace should be delivered by your manufacturer by the 18/11 in your warehouse and I am chasing this up as no one in your office is keeping me up to date.

'we told you we would contact you shortly' - last email indeed stated this on the 10/11/2010 however the manageress declined to give me weekly update on my replacement as 'not physically possible'
but could only call me once the good would be there - I then asked when they expected delivery but was told they could not say - further question 'what if the good does not get delivered in the next 4 weeks, am I expected to wait for your call patiently?' no answer.

The manageress highlighted some issue with their line as I also complained about being 'cut off' suddenly after my speaking to one of their 'highly trained staff' - No one had hung up on me they currently have BT fixing their lines (I must be so unlucky!)

Only 2 options given to me:
-wait for the double oven to arrived and it will be dispatched to me
    -full refund

I asked what they were ready to do to reinstate my faith in their company,

Reluctantly she offered the delivery charge to be refunded but someone would need to call me back to take my card details - I asked what time this call back will be made at 'within 1/2h' - let's just say I am lucky I was off today as the call was certainly not a priority for them and was only made 3h after what was promised.

I believe in a company that take ownership of their mistake and deliver what has been promised. I did not get any of that!

It is long winded sorry but as my original review was censored I blame Jual Domestics
  • I nearly ordered a Beko washing machine from Jual this morning, as the price was so competitive.

However when I rang them I was told that actually bringing the appliance into the property was 'down to the discretion of the driver' as only 1 guy delivers.

We have a long flight of stairs, so it wouldn't be much use for them to just leave it in our hallway as I am 7 and a half months pregnant, and I doubt OH is strong enough to carry it up on his own! :rotfl:

I just couldn't risk it turning up and the driver saying he wasn't insured to help carry it in, so I went with Boots Online instead who will take the old one away and bring the new one in to the room of your choice, plumb it in and run it to check all is well before they leave.

It's more expensive, but as an earlier poster said, sometimes cheaper is not necessarily better!

  • Well we don,t seem to be hearing much response from JUAL regarding the recent posters on their bad experiences .
In fact heard nothing since they replied with untruths to my initial post which helped to kick this post off , and just to let you know my review has still not been re instated on the review site but at least people can see reviews of this unsavoury company on this great site without fear of honest reviews being censored .
It seems the manageress (owners daughter) still has not learnt any better people skills or bettered her managerial skills .

there were 2 delivery men when they fetched me the wrong freezer,
and i live in the area of their shop and often see their vans with 2 men in .JUAL are very frugal with the truth

    Well,
I did order from Jual in the end. I did ring up to check they had the item in stock. They did. They said they will deliver on Friday, after I have confirmed a security code because we have just bought a house. That seems fair enough.

I did ring them in order to let them know my change of delivery address,( which you can't do online) and pay. I did have to wait an hour!!! for them to answer the phone, which was incredibly infuriating, especially as I was paying them. The girl when I did answer the phone was however very good. If they stick to what they say they're going to do then I'm happy. But watch this space, I'll keep you posted!!!!

  • Hi guys I have just joined this forum....I am getting my kitchen redone and had been scouring the net for the cheapest built in appliances available because I am a single mom with a young child...

I ordered a fridge, freezer, hob and oven from this company but now reading these bad reviews I really want to get my money back asap...What is the best mode of action?..

I have to hurry up as well because the person who is going to fit my kitchen is going to be doing it this week and that date is nonnegotiable...

I am really worried now because I paid a good amount of money to this company...I am worried I am about to be scammed...Is there anything that my bank can do?

Have you been told these items are in stock and have been given a definate delivery date? You only run into problems if they have told you the things are not in stock then you may have to wait weeks. I'm sure there are some people who have had a good experience. Lets be honest, they can't p*ss of everybody can they?? I really don't think they will particularly hurry in giving you your money back if you have just changed your mind but I cannot be sure of that. It's up to you in the end, you might be fine.

Yes I had problems that my applience was badly damaged on arrival but the biggest bugbear with me is the thoroughly unpleasant family who run this business, the way they speak to their customers and the way they are bullying people who choose to leave a poor but truthful review of their experience.

By my own and other peoples experiences of Juals so called customer service, this particular family all seem to sing off the same hymn sheet and seem to be totally incapable of good manners. Very Sad!!
  • I completely understand why it sounds like a good idea to go with Jual - their website lists much lower costs than you'll find elsewhere for a lot of things. I must say I'd never use them again. We ordered a washing machine and dishwasher from them, phoning up because I wanted to know I could speak with someone. When the washing machine (finally) arrived the delivery man (singular- the second was sitting in the van with his feet on the dashboard playing with his phone) was the most unpleasant person I've ever met. He refused to take the old washing machine away becasue it wasn't sitting outside. I'll point out that I had helped him carry the washing machine in. On this basis I told him to take the new washing machine away and that I wasn't accepting delivery both because of his attitude and because I wasn't getting the service I had asked for. I phoned to complain and was told that I hadn't read their terms of service online. I told them they were right- I'd made the order on the phone. Despite telling them to take it away they said it was delivered so it was my problem. They, eventually, allowed me to cancel the dishwasher (especially important as my wife wasn't willing to let the driver in the house again as she was scared of him) and said the pick up charges and cost for the dishwasher would be refunded. We had to phone at least half a dozen times before they the refund but have kept the pick up charges; essentially I've paid them to send an aggressive lout to my house and argue with me. I was disgusted at every level of service and have to say that a cheaper appliance just wasn't worth the hassle.
