Yes, I am a genuine customer - two major appliances bought and no problems. Received good service on the phone as well - last purchase was delivered during 'the big snow' last winter. They called me as it was going to be 2 hours late, but that was not in any way suprising given the weather and the fact that they were on the other side of the Pennines.

Yep, Withabix, I did mean you. When a long established member posts a good review it has a lot of weight with me. When someone registers and their first post is a glowing review on an old thread, then that just looks to me like the company prompting someone to post for them. There are companies that will post positive reviews on sites for a monthly fee and software that trawls forums to flag up everytime a post is made about a company.

I am glad you had good service, but having read more about Jual and how they are threatening legal action over bad reviews, I am afraid I will be regarding you as one fortunate customer amongst many that are unhappy.

Hi just thought i would let you know the review site had removed my review straight after i put it on a few days ago , due to pressure from JUAL Domestics
But as of today have decided ,after i showed them the proof and information they needed have decided to re-install my review .

Iwould also like to to say a big thankyou to Hollydays and sonyjim plus a growing number of other posters for keeping this thread going ,as you can see by my posts i am not quite as experianced as some ,and certainly not as computor literate (if thats the right word) so many thanks .

How dare they assume that they can continue to throw their weight around in their typical bully boy fashion.

Why don't they have some dignity and just accept that they cannot behave like this and take it on the chin when they've messed up.

They are beyond belief !!!

Just googling around for all my integrted appliances this morning, most of my items seem to be coming up cheaper with juel, so I thought i'd check them out, glad I did, as it lead right back to my trusty MSE!! This thread has given me all the info I need...I'll not be ordering from them!

Well I'm a long-time MSE'er with a glowing report of Jual Domestic, so I hope you'll believe me

I have bought a washing machine and a tumble dryer over the last month from Jual. Because we live in the same village as there warehouse, I picked the items up myself so no problems there.

Previous to this I have bought 2 fridges (one for us and one for DD) from them - all without any trouble at all.

Perhaps I've just been lucky, who knows, but I do know I'd go to Jual anytime rather than deal with Curry's......I HATE that firm :mad:

Just been reading these reviews. I am a property landlord based in the north east of England. I was just about to order 3 Indesit washing machines from these people, then I read the reviews! Lucky escape. Anyone recommend anywhere reliable and cheap for washing machines please?

placed an order online with these people to then find out they ddn't even have the item in stock but had still took my money so beware ring and make sure they have the item avaialable 1st because these people are very quick to take your money but not so quick to give it back.

Well it seems they don,t like reviews if they are not going their way ,My review has been removed again due to pressure from JUAL.

As I said in an earlier post, I've bought several items from Jual over the years (2 items in the last few weeks) and always been happy.

However, after reading these posts and especially with reference to Jual having unfavourable reviews deleted, it would make me more cautious in the future.

I live very close to their warehouse, so it's no problem for me to collect any item I buy, but I'm not sure that if I lived further away I'd risk it.

Perhaps it's time you sorted yourselves out Jual, so that your customers would be happy to give you good reviews and you could stop worrying about having to monitor the review sites.
