  • I used to feed mine to my kitty, she loved them :D

Alternatively you can buy liquid egg whites in health food shops and I believe sainsbury also sells them now.
  • lemon curd. Mum used to make this when we were kids and it was delish.
  • There is a recipe on here (cant seem to find it just now) for Gold Cake. I made it recently and its really lovely

Is there any reason why you cant use the whole egg. I'm coeliac and make GF pancakes by following a standard pancake batter mix just substituting Doves GF flour for the ordinary. Have had no problems adapting most normal recipes for GF with a bit of mixing of flours.

I'm going to attempt protein-rich pancakes which basically consists of egg whites and oats. As I'm not very familiar with baking (read: rubbish), I thought I'd better follow the recipe first and adapt if it seems to work :)

Having made pavlovas I now have 6 egg yolks left over, what can I make with them apart from scrambled egg and egg custard?
  • Lemon curd was my first thought, but lots of ideas here:

my first thought was either a nice quiche or a fritata. you can add either a little water or milk to the egg yolks to 'loosen' them for whipping up or if really feeling indulgent - some cream!
