It was cold last night and this morning, , my house can be quite cold even when its sunny outside. I am sitting with a blanket around me now lol.

My sentiments exactly - my house is freezing at the moment, especially as this time last weekend, I was still basking in Egypt - my heating is so expensive though that it's not going on yet!!

OH is full of complaints - we ended up going to bed early last night to get warm - mind you, as that's in tune with our family aspirations at the moment and very MSE, who am I to complain? :rotfl:

I went to bed early last night and was sitting with my dressing gown on in bed on my lappy lol. people prob think I am mad! Good luck with the family aspirations QB. If I knew how much it cost to have the heating on all day or an hour in the morning and couple of hours at night I would then know what I was dealing with in money terms.

Have been very good today and totally cleaned the whole house. I could not believe how much junk was behind sofas, toyboxs etc. :o shocking. Did not find gift card I was given for my birthday tho so thats £20 disappeared. :( Been tidying most of the day and asked DD to tidy her room and she went into teenage kevin!! (shes only 9 in a few weeks!) I went totally bezerk at her but you can see the floor in there now lol

Have my first ever pta meeting tomorrow (or as hey call it 'friends of **** school) . I plucked up the courage to ask my neighbour if she could sit with the kids. I hate asking things like that. I am quite nervous about it as I am a shy person and I dont know many people at the school (which is part of the reason I am doing it) so I am not sure whether I will just sit there and listen or whether I will actually feel like a part of it. I can only try. I have found a few ideas on the internet and have drafted up a sheet. My friend is on the pts at kids old school and she says beware to have some ideas shot down as there are rules about certain things but I will try. who knows?

  • Let us know how the PTA goes Pammy. Sounds like you have put some thought into it, so hopefully smoothly.

well the pta was ok. I am quite a shy person so didnt speak up too much as I didnt really know anyone. They have 11k in the kitty already which is fab but they are putting in a new outside play area which is a fair amount of money. I didnt really air any of my ideas as they already have most things sorted up until xmas and you dont want to overload the kids and parents. It can wait until the next meeting. They dont have their info on the school website so I will address that next time. I might even be able to help them with that. There were only about 9 people there and 3 of them were the bursar, admin and a teacher. Out of a school of 240 kids only 6 parents help and one of those doesnt have a kid in the school anymore.
At least the next meeting is straight after school so I dont have to worry about childcare.

    On a money note:

Ebay is at £66. I had my first neg feedback. It really hurts actually, didnt realise how much it would and I have been doing ebay for about 4 or 5 years.
    Recieved my dooyoo cheque :j
Had a few surveys and have a couple in today which I am just about to attempt.

OH ANOTHER THING - came home to a parcel today which went into my neighbours. I knew as soon as I saw it was named to my son that is was a comp win. I (he) has won a ben 10 goody set, games, dvds, books, tshirt etc in a big box which I have promptly put away for xmas :j :D :j

Still havent put my heating on, was very tempted to put the fire on last night but sat with my blanky instead lol
Have a friend visiting tonight so I think I better be kind and put the fire on, dont expect them to sit with a blanket pmsl.

  • Hi Pammy,

I'm with you on the heating... had a friend over to supper last night, which merited me putting the electric fire on in the conservatory, but when it's just me, it's my fleecy blanket and an extra jersey! It's so cold at night, the cat's taken to sleeping on my feet!!

Sorry to hear about the negative feedback - did the buyer try and sort things out with you first? Sometimes people can be very hasty, not realising the impact of their words on recipients. Try not to take it personally, clearly you've had years of +ives which vastly outweigh this one..

  • How infuriating! Well it might be worth putting a comment next to their feedback saying just that... newbies need to be aware of their responsibilities towards other e-bayers, and the etiquette of ebaying!!
