Thank you, its called 'not having a life' that allows me to do it lol.
Been to visit family today and we have decided that we are going to go abroad for our 'big' birthdays in 3 years. I will be 40, big sis will be 50 and mum will be almost 70. Lil sis is coming too but she will be 27 lol So we are starting to put £40 a month away now to start saving for it. 3 years should be enough time with that amount put by for spending money as well. Just under £500 each year. All of them have never been abroad before so that will be a challenge for me arrghh. My mum doesnt like heat or swimming or walking long disntances so that will be a lot of fun trying to keep her amused. Will have a look at the sort of hols that is poss adults only maybe as this will be my first ever adult only holiday and it will probably kill me seeing other kids running around.
Anyway I am shattered as only just got back so I am off to the land of nod.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Just quickly popping in between all the holiday sorting out, I am shattered, just stood and done 3 hours of ironing  And now have to do a bit of cleaning etc. Have just seent the weather and it looks like heavy rain over the weekend - great
Have OP'd £150 and have reached my total :j :j :j Total £5000 100%
And shocking news I had a text from the lady that was selling the house we liked asking if I was still interested, the sale must have fell threw. I was jumping around thinking yay and then looked at the figures. My house looks like it wont sell more then £110k (poss only £105k) and she is asking for £117k for hers now. I would need at least £10k to do the kitchen and poss bathroom plus I need a bit of back up money if I dont get a job straight away and I have to commute
I have that excited feeling again but then my house might not sell for months.
And so I am at a dilemma again. I know my head is saying it cant be done but my heart is saying you will if you want it bad enough. arrghhhh
I know my DD is really up for it and has already moved in!MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Hi pammy, can you actually get a mortgage for the amount to cover everything including selling at a lower price? It's just I have spoken to our Bs chelsea this week as we were going to view a house and as we were tied to a deal I thought we should check they will still lend us the same amount. It turns out they have changed their lending criteria and although we currently owe £150K odd, they will only go up to a max of £70K on a new mortagage., which was quite a surprise.
If you have it covered then I would go for another viewing, if you really want it then go for it, its a few of months of stress trying to sell, if it works out thats great. If yours doesn't shift then the time is not right.
I know exactly how you feel Pammy, I have had very itchy feet lately, but I know we are much better off staying where we are, I blame these move to the country programmes and rightmove!
The thought of the whole moving process does put me off though, as does being pushed more financially.
Good luck with whatever you decide, and if you are off this week then have a great holiday.:D
Forgot to say, well done on reaching target !MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
This is such an inspiration! Well done to you Pammy J and what a pleasure to see all the support. I have also started with my count down to mortgae free and it looks like I need to get more facts and figures in place to fully see the benefit.
Lots of good ideas and advice on these diarys and I look forwrad to seeing my very large mortgage diminishing little by little!
Best wishes to you.Return and Restart August 2016

Am back from hols, what a week it has been - good and bad!
Firstly want to state that the house sale is going through now so the house is still not back up for sale. I am really annoyed that she got our hopes up again before she knew for definite. We were making plans in our head again lol.
Have OP'd £500 as got money from accident. So knocked another month off and EMFD is now May 2020. 8 years and 10 monthsI have 10 months left to shave to get to my target which I will definitely do if I stay here, so might have to up my challenge to be MF in 5 years! That sounds unrealistic but this year since december I have knocked off 11 months! Which is amazing to me.
Have also got my toluna £15 amazon code so now have £60 in there, I need to start getting xmas presents, I am so far behind!
As for the holiday well, chaos seems to follow me and this holiday was cursed from the start.
*2nd day in I get a parking ticket as I didnt realise you had to pay where I parked, it wasnt made very clear.
*Then that same day after getting some money out of the bank I lost my purse! Luckily I had a feeling where it was as the kids had just been blading in the pool and I remembered i put it on top of their clothes but now the pool was closed and the people with keys were not on site. I was panicking so much, that security had to get the pool manager to come in with a key. I waited 90 minutes pacing up and down until they finally came back with it. I have never been so relieved!
*Then I dropped my beloved camera and it stopped working properly and left lines all over the photos. I couldnt believe it. I love my camera and love taking pics. After a day of still taking pics and it starting to clear it seems to be working ok again now thankfully.
*THEN we went to visit MIL + FIL at their lodge as they were half hour away from me. Then when it was time to go MIL led me out as I didnt know the way, I misread which way she was telling me to go and went the wrong way, when I realised I parked up and waited for her to park up behind me holding my driver door, she then came down the side of my car and caught my door, bending it and denting the wing. I cannot believe it! I havent had it back long. the insurance people will think I am either a bad driver or my car is jinxed!!
* Then DD lost her favourite sparkly scarf and we had a stroppy hour, it was like losing her favourite toy. I could not console her for ages. I have had to promise to search for one very similar to that one.
This all happened in the first three days. Plus the heavy rainfalls, being on a horrible pebble beach instead of a sandy one and one width car lanes I am really glad to be home.
I must say we did have a few good days of sunshine and days out. I timed they quite well. We went to a zoo and we loved the meerkats and the otters, I could have stayed and just watched them all day. Kids had a great time at the theme park, (thats all they are raving about)
Saying that about the beach, they could have stood for hours doding the waves and throwing pebbles into the sea, the small things amuse dont they. In fact one evening we went down, with gusty winds and they were having such a good time, we stayed there when it started raining, I didnt realise after standing there for a while not moving that I was completely drenched from the rain. I was more wet than the kids dodging the sea! I think I caught my cold on that day and the last few days I had sore throat and coughs and sneezing.
Add to all of that I needed a shotgun to shoot the seagulls who either sounded like a strangled cat, strangled cow or like they were a little child banging their hands on the side of the caravan when they were walking on the roof at 6.30 in the morning!!!
The site wasnt great I would have prefered to have gone to Butlins or Pontins. But it was free I suppose and a break from it all. The caravan was lovely and we had a sea view (sort of lol)
I am trying to see the positive side of the week, we did have a few good laughs, and we loved the tennis courts, I wish there was one nearer to us. DS is really into it at the moment.
Sorry for the essay, I just needed to get it out of my head!!MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Sounds very lively Pammy.
All I can suggest is: if you haven't paid the parking ticket and it was not issued by the council but by a private firm, then you may be able to ignore it entirely. DH did this last year and after around 3 threatogrammes, we never heard from them again - despite their threats of legal action! Read Martin's article/the motoring forum.Debt at highest: £8k. No it was definitely council ticket unfortunately. Sent a cheque off.
