I am just very frugal with things and dont have much of a social life. I buy all the cheapest things I can where possible. I walk where and whenever I can rather than use the car.
Ebay profit this month so far is £192 but I have used a lot of this to buy things I need, I have just bought some new boots on there as I am in desperate need for work. The only problem is you cant try them on and you might not like them when you get them. Plus the kids cubs uniform and DDs tracksuit bottoms for her school trip. The list goes on but its not coming out of my poscket at least and is delivered to my door!
GC budget is gone completely this month but my diesel is only at £50/£100. I might have to put a tenner in next week but the extra for that will be for groceries.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Hi Pammy, well done! You should be really proud of yourself.
I'm a bit of a comfort cuppa person too.... I try and have 3 cups a day, but it does tend to creep up to 4.
The rest of the time I drink Roibus tea, which has the same mouth feel as real tea and you can even add milk to it. It's caffeine free, and I doubt it will have the same impact on your iron levels as real tea, but you might want to check.
It's a bit more expensive than the real thing, but not too much. I drink LOTS of it!

Thanks Sepa4, It is amazing how much of a habit drinking tea is. I am still doing well, had 1 1/2 yesterday and none today so far. I am going to try and drink hot water with bit OJ in it so still getting the comfort hot drink. I still get up and go to put the kettle on as part of my routine.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

I seem more tired now I am not drinking tea. I have been going to bed early lol, maybe thats a good thing. Tea caffeine isnt keeping me unnaturally awake!
Just checked TCB and my car insurance has gone to payable and I have opted for amazon vouchers for an extra £1.31 woohoo hahaha. So got £27.57. I only have about £7 in amazon at mo as I havent done bp for a while. i need to build that up again for xmas, only 6 months away and I am notmally half done by now. Think I have about 3 presents - not good.
Today I am going to force myself to do the garden. The lawn is like a jungle and then possibly take kids to park if they behave. They are being monsters at the moment. As the weather is good I should catch up on washing as well.
Yesterday spent £10 at scout shop for 2 neckers and the powerpack book. Then spent £16 at clothes shop getting some tracksuit bottoms and tshirts for DDs trip. I got 5 bottoms and 2 tshirts so quite cheap as they are shutting down so not bothered if they get ruined. If they dont get ruined then DS2 can have them after. Then spent another £11 in Aldi. I havent had a spend day like that in a long time! On top of the cub uniform and the other things I have bought on ebay its been a very big spend month for me grrrr. Plus I will have to pay cub fees on Tuesday too. arrghh I dont like itMPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Dont have to pay cub fees til september so thats a result
But then it will be £45 per term for the pair of them
Have OP'd £200 today for next month so I only have £350 left to reach m target and only half way through the year
93% of my target :j
Next months diesel will be high due to holiday travel. I think its about 3 hours away. But its a five payday month so that will pay for that yay!
I've still done well with no tea. I drink just water at work which isnt too bad when its warm but at home I have been drinking squash (Had a hot water one yesterday, felt like I was drinking lemsip lol) I dont like fruit tea or anything else like that. So I am replacing caffiene with sugar arrghh. No caffiene (sp?) has meant that I am getting really tired early evening because its not keeping my awake lol.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Pammy - I haven't read previous posts (just the latest ones on this page) so I hope you all are well.
Have you tried ordinary de-caf tea? I have to have caffeine free drinks, or else I get loads of headaches. I'm like you, I'm not keen on squash made up with hot water but Ribena is lovely. You should try it.
Well done with all your over payments. You should start back on BP it's less than 6 months to Christmas. Arggh.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

You're doing so well not drinking tea. Are you going to go back to try to give blood to check your Hb has increased?
Where ae you going on holiday? Sorry, i've forgotten. We're going to Devon on Monday and it's a 500 mile round trip so expect petrol costs to be high as we're taking my car which is less fuel efficient than DH's but is bigger for taking all our stuff and I want to keep the mileage down on DH's car.
Have you been on BP? I had problems making posts so just stopped bothering. Might start up again if I can get it sorted and once I have a little more time on my hands.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I'm still doing it Cath, but having problems with chat. I continue though as i never really did that. I've had £20 this month. I spent it on myself though, rather than presents as intended. I've been wanting a knitting book for ages but it is out of print and some people wanted £30 for it, so when i saw it at £10 i snapped it up. I've been watching the price for over 6 months.
Mind needs to go now to September/Otober birthdays i think as there are a lot of them, and then Christmas.0 -
I should get back on bp, I went on it religiously before and then got out of the habit. I still have my reminder pop up every day lol
Took kids to work today, good job they are good kids generally.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987
