I hope they behaved today especially, Pammy. What sort of work do you do? Was there any space at your workplace for them to hang around and amuse themselves?

Glad they were well behaved for you although I wouldn't have imagined anything less. It's keeping kids entertained that's the problem isn't it.

I do admin and accounts for a plumbing company. There were two desks free so they spent a lot of time on the internet, although I did do them some hard maths sums to do to earn their computer time.

I have been really bad with my diary lately :o

Had a letter from eon saying they were going to put my DD up from £58 to £85  Why didnt they just leave it as it was before they put it down to £58 then it would be all even again. They said that I had under paid by £102. I put my meter readings online and they were well over on their est on my gas and this took what I owed down to £50. I then rang them and said there is no way I am paying £85 a month as that is nearly £30 more. He was very condescending to me and said look love can you do me a favour and go and read your meters. I told him if he looked he could see that I already had! He then said he could put my payments down to £75. I told him I will pay £70. He agreed. arrgh they really wind me up.
I am thinking of swapping to Utility Warehouse. Does anyone else use them? they seem cheaper but I have not heard of them before. I am a bit dubious about using unknown companies. (although they are only unknown to me I guess)

Just over a week before we go on hols and I am nowhere near ready :o

DD came back from her 3 day away trip with school. Kids back to arguing and moaning again, like she had never been away!!

Have been doing well on BP, won a couple of FH one day then 2L and a FH another day. Have redeemed an amazon voucher. Should possibly get another one before I go away. Am contemplating taking my laptop but dont think they have wifi there. :o Should have a complete break I suppose.
As ebay is doing well I havent really been doing surveys etc. I am at £75 profit this month already.

I really should start looking at getting things for xmas now I am really slacking on that dept this year, have about 3 things when I normally have at least half of them by now.

No drinking tea is going really well, I am now drinking hot water in the morning (apparently its really good to drink it once a day - so the chinese say) and then drinking cold water throughout the day (apparently ice cold water makes the body lose caleries as it has to work to warm the body back up. If you drink 8 glasses of water it burns 70 caleries! the wonders of google lol) So drinking hot water is similar for me to drinking tea as I used to drink it weak anyway. The only downside I have found is that I am really tired in the evening as I have no caffiene to keep me awake lol. Maybe its a sign to go to bed earlier and get a decent nights sleep!

Anyway better get back to work :o

We are with a company called ovo pammy, and they are really good. My DD was cheaper last year than before when we were with scottish power, and it has dropped again this year. I'm only paying £60 per month at the moment, and I have about £200 credit. I do regularly enter my meter reading online for both so I know where i am as i can't be doing with estimated bills.

Hi pammyj74,

I'm sorry that you were spoken to in that way on the phone, that really shouldn't be happening.

It sounds like the Direct Debit was reduced because you were in credit, this has now left you in debit and the Direct Debit has been increased to get this cleared.

The best thing to do to keep the account accurate is enter your readings online and produce a bill to these readings, you can do this more than just when the bill is due if you like.

Have you checked you are on the best tariff for you?

If you are going to change supplier I would recommend using your usage from the past year in kWh and entering this on to a couple of the comparison sites.

If you need any help with your account, you can contact me at WebForumAdvisors@eonenergy.com and I will do my best for you :)

Again I'm sorry for the way that you were spoken to :o

Just let me know if you need me.

Helena :)

They are ok. There is a daily standing charge for gas and electric, which is why some people don't think it works out a good deal, but it is a lot cheaper for us. We have had the new boiler and extra insulation put in too, so that helps.

Everything is online. I could apply to alter my DD online and then they sent me an email saying that was ok. The email was like you said, a bit condescending i felt, basically saying I could drop it to £60 for a few months but then they would put it up because i was actually using £80. This wasn't write, but I didn't bother following the woman up.

You don't get bills through the post either. You get an email telling you what your bill is. They haven't altered my DD at all since we joined them in May last year. When it came to the end of the contract they emailed me with details of other tariffs and i just let them know which one i fancied.

They only have 2 tarrifs too, a variable and a fixed rate, so we went to the fixed rate as although it was a little more expensive I thought peace of mind was worth it.
