I'm still sat looking at the mess too Pammy. I ask mine to tidy up, but it is usually such a rush me cooking tea, getting them to eat it, then getting them bathed that it gets left to me a lot, or we go to bed really late and then they are grumpy. I see the sense in it though.
When ironing is piling, I say to myself do just 10 things. I got that off flylady. If I do 10, I will inevitably carry on till at least half an hour, so more gets done. I think you just need regular and often.
I dream of being organised.0 -
Me too. I dream of being organised and having organised children. It's the food that gets me down the most - crumbs all over the place and plates and mugs etc that stay wherever the kids have taken them until I take them back to the kitchen.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

I did the ironing and sorting the clothes out last night and have prepared the weeks gpig food too. I used to do ironing every night for the next days things but its so nice to have it already done and it will be nice to not have to think about what I am wearing all week.
I know what you mean Cha about toys, thats why I said 10 mins before bed get them to do it but I know they will drag that 10 mins and make it so they go bed later. They then tend to go and have a wash and brush their teeth and then its another half hour has gone by and they are going to bed an hour later than planned! The kids have big blankets that they sit with on the sofa and they tend to be left all over the floor, it drives me crazy. I am trying to get them to put them in the cupboard when they go to bed. I just seem to constantly be nagging at them.
As for kids and plates my DD can be told EVERY day to put her plate in the kitchen and EVERY day I have to tell her again, its a mental block with her. I am with you with the crumbs too Lois. I can clean the kitchen and the table and within minutes its messy again. Its so deflating isnt it.
Oh well back to work today, for my boss to take the mickey out of my week. Its actually not as bad now I look back lol, but felt it at the time.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

I'm going to try and persuade mine to part with some stuff over the holidays before October birthday and Christmas come round again. Doesn't help there is this old chap lives up the road, and every time we walk past he give me stuff for my two. Yesterday it was a Winnie the pooh toy and a cuddly toy mine are too big for. I don't like to say no as he obviously just wants a chat, but I had best send some to the charity shop.
I got that book too. I will download any that are free. I think I might have an addiction as I will look every time I go on amazon what the new best downloading ones are. I must have a few hundred already sat on the kindle. I should read some.0 -
I find it harder to read them on the laptop though, prefer to have a proper book.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Have OP'd £200 for August. Could have done a bit more but thinking of taking my mum and the kids back to Gorleston in a B&B for a couple of days so my mum can see her friend there and kids can have a day at the seaside again. Cheapest I can find is £200 for 2 nights in a family room. I dont really want to stay too far away from Gorleston and there doesnt seem a lot of choices.
Went on toluna tonight and my points are at 55k, had a few event points added even though I havent been on there for weeks. So did all 198 sponsored polls (no topics?) on there and points are now 58k. Will try and keep it up and get some posting done when I can be bothered.
Had an early night last night (11pm) and even read for a bit, trying to finish the book I started on hols. I really need to try and wind down in the evenings.Obviously havent made it again tonight lolMPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

I should read more too but am exhausted by 10pm most nights. DH and I like to watch films in the evenings so fitting in reading doesn't happen much.
The holiday sounds like a nice break although pricey? Are there any travel inns etc nearby as their rooms are generally cheaper?June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I could cry just done a big post and then lost it all
Sorry I havent been posting lately, I just dont seemt to have time.
Managed to get a caravan for BH wkd for just £80. It is only a 5 berth tho and my mum and sister are coming with us lot so will be a tight squeeze! Its only 3 nights tho, I'm sure we'll cope and I have threatened the kids to behave the best they ever have! Mum and sis will have to stay at mine the night before so I dont have to drive for 5 hours in one go picking them up!
