Ooh fingers crossed Radish! I really hope its the buyer :)

Well my day was totally frustrating. Took the car to the carshop this morning at 9.30. They said it would go in about an hours time to be assessed so I waited and my sister was coming from an hour away anyway to pick up some furniture from near me so conned her to pick me up lol.
They said they would get the part and have the car done probably about 5pm. I rang at 3pm just to see how they were getting on and they said they were still waiting for the part and once its there it should be about an hours work.
I rang at 5.15pm and the other guy who I had not been dealing with and he really talked down to me on the phone. He told me that the part hadnt come in because they had to order it direct from the dealer. He said he had tried to ring me at 12pm to tell me the part hadnt arrived but that didnt tell me at 3pm it wouldnt be done.
I then asked if I could pick the car up then as I need it to get to work and he checked with the engineer and they have told him that is was dangerous to drive and they couldnt release it like that. I could not believe my ears. Nationwide checked the car and told me it wasnt dangerous and I have been driving with my kids in it like that for 6 weeks!
They then say they cant give me a replacement car in the mean time as they have none to give me. they dont pay for hire cars and basically wouldnt budge saying they were doing me a favour fixing the car that might not have been there fault, I could have caused it going over a pothole!! I was so livid but again my emotions got the better of me and I broke down again.
I told them even if I got the bus to work there is no way to get to them to pick the car up. In the end he said they may be able to sort something out there (nice of them!!)
I am so cross about it all and the way he spoke to me was appalling. He wouldnt have done that if I was a bloke. he said at least we are repairing your car and the parts are expensive.
My sister has now let me borrow her car, she went back home with her fella and they both drove back here (an hour each way) so I can use her car for a couple of days. That is an amazing offer of kindness and is why I am trying to move back over there!!
I am going to be out of pocket as I will obviously have to reimburse petrol for them both and as well as a thank you present but it could have been worse and carshop may not have repaired the car.

I havent even done my ebay over the weekend or today so the items will be delivered late which I really hate but cant be helped I suppose.
I still have to do lunches and iron clothes and all I want to do is get into my bed :(

Big hug Pammy, I'm having a bit of a rubbish day must be something in the air

Sounds like the suspension gaiters are gone on your car. I snapped mine hitting a pot hole last Jan (the underneath of the car scrapped the road it was that deep, didn't see it with all the snow)

Did your viewer not show radish?

Car still not ready today, the part didnt turn up grrr.

Have been really naughty and booked a window cleaner as I cant be bothered to do them again and I want them done properly and I cant do the upstairs outside ones anyway so they may aswell do the rest :o

Am thinking of getting someone to come and deep clean the kitchen and bathroom too, not sure.

Viewer showed up, and spent lots of time deciding which walls need knocking down. Wife want to see where the sun is in the garden, so expect them turning up next time sun is out

I'm feeling very sorry for myself as

The fuse for the kitchen has blown and wont reset and I can't find the reason why so now have no boiler which means no hot water so no shower

I have finally replaced the window in the outhouse but when I moved some stuff discovered that the floor is rotten (poor window fitter went through floor)

    Just want to scream :rotfl:

Oh no radish. Its horrible isnt it. I moved some stuff from the side of the washing machine and the wall is all damp. I think it was damp and has now dried up but the paint is all blistered and comng away so that needs repainting. My daughter has been peeling wallpaper off so I think I will have to redecorate her room or at least that wall but I dont think I have the wallpaper left.
I am wondering whether to get someone to come and paint my hallway but I think its going to cost me about £500 to do it.

We have damp in our kitchen too. There are a couple of areas where there is no paint on the wall at all. That's the trouble with owning homes and cars. They are never ending moneypits
