Thanks guys, having a bit of a pants day actually. Just one 'everything goes well' day would be good on my birthday but NO.
Firstly kids get up and completely forget its my birthday and dont remember for about half an hour until someone on the tv texts in to say happy birthday to a loved one then DD sits up and remembers. They hadnt even made me a card. It upsets me that their stupid dad cant even take them to the blooming pound shop so they can feel good to give me something. My DS2 went to give me £10 out of his money box and then got upset because I told him to put it back. My other DS hasnt even rang or sent a card or even said happy birthday on FB for goodness sake. I bet he has completely forgot too.
I then open my mums card she sent in the post and its empty. I knew she would have put money in it so told my sister and my mum had put £50 in it  BUT she had give it to my brother to post and he is a thief! I cant definitely say it was him but I am 90% sure! Cant wait to go over there on Thursday. Dont know why my mum sent that much through the post or even why she didnt send it recorded OR the bigger one, WHY she gave it to my brother to post knowing what he is like and that money was in it.
I have had text from a couple of people saying they have forgot to post my card too.
I am obviously in the back of some peoples minds and I have just been getting upset all day when I should be happy.
I just feel so lonely and worthless/pointless on days like these and I know there are lots of birthday wishes on here and FB but its not the same as real life friends and family IYKWIM (no offence lol)

Sorry to be glum :( I just feel like carp!

    Pammy,

So sorry your day is turning out so badly. I think people with partners forget that those of us without have only got our friends and family to make a fuss of us on our birthdays, so they don't realise how important it is. I remember the first year that X wasn't around to help my kids do anything for me, I arrived at my brother's on Boxing Day having had a totally pants Christmas with almost no presents, and two kids who were upset that they hadn't had anything to give me. My lovely SIL found out what had happened and took my kids shopping the next day for stuff for me, and refused to let me pay her back for what it had cost her. It wasn't much, but it meant so much, even if it was a few days late. Birthdays, mothers' day, Christmas... I try not to expect much of them now, because I've been disappointed too often. It sucks, and I feel for you so much. Virtual hug from me too, as yukkibear has already said.

Even if you have the rellies doesn't mean you get to have a decent time. Mine all claim they are too skint.

I got nothing for mothers day, my sister in law gave me a book of MILs bookshelf which i am pretty sure MIL wrapped up, and i saw my sister for the 1st time yesterday with a present a month late, which is a cardi which is from her own wardrobe (which i know because it smells of soap powder/conditioner, and had no tag). I wouldn't mind so much normally but i know she went out to a party over the weekend, then had a day out in Skeggie, yet can't afford anything, when we would sacrifice those sorts of things so we can. Grrrr.

I hope the day improves from there for you. The thing that is most shocking in what you said is your brother, which i am presuming he would deny anyway. What an awful thing to do.
