Thanks FG,
The kids just keep saying it was like a roller coaster ride swerving accross the road and me trying to get the car back on the right side. Luckily I was only going about 25 miles an hour and she was just starting off, it could have been much worse!MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Thank goodness you are all alright Pammy.
Its such an inconvenience being without your own car.
We have only just had our claim sorted from Nov 2007 , it was a nitemare and wasn't our fault. It went on so long because of the dispute on who was paying for a hire car even though it was part of our insurance policy. The question is is it hired or a courtesy. The insurance people tend to put your onto hire care companies and act dumb. We even had to provide credit card statements from 2007. We felt like WE was on trial and it back brought up with me how much debt we use to be in.
Keep everything , I do hope it runs smoothly for you but just in case.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
wow Iris, thats shocking. I have a hire car but they are saying it all to me over the phone so I have no proof of what they are saying as yet in writing. Will definitely keep everything.
Had a call from solicitors today regarding any health problems. I do still have a bit of pain in the bottom of my neck but nothing huge to worry about but thought I better state it just to cover me. My DD has a bruise on her cheek where she hit the window. Apparently I cannot take her to the doctors or fill the forms out for her as I was involved so her dad has to do it haha.
rec'd another toluna voucher yesterday, thats 2 this week. I really havent kept up with it at all this month. £5 MyS has gone in today, kids are into webkinz at the moment so will treat them to one of them off ebay.
Nice to have a long weekend again, think I will attempt to do some more of the garden if its nice but my brown bin hasn't been emptied the last two times and I am thinking the stuff is stuck in it and wont empty or they look in it and dont empty it for some reason. I will have to stalk them next wednesday and see if they try or not and then rush out and see if its done lol.
My homestart volunteering has been put on hold as the prep course was supposed to start next month but will hopefully now start in June. Its annoying when things dont go to plan. grrrMPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

just wanted to send you hugs. It's a huge inconvenience, but cars are replaceable, lives aren't. Glad you're all as ok as can be expected under the circumstances. Wishing a speedy recovery for your and DDs bruised bits xxknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

I think the decision has been made, I am going to stay here. It was a nice idea.
This was posted by me on 14th and once again I have changed my mind as it wonders onto rightmove and zoopla. I blame the banners I keep seeing of zoopla when I am checking my emails
I am hopefully going to view FIVE houses on Thursday and if I really like one of them then I will seriously consider putting it all in place and get mine ready.
There is one thing I havent even considered until last night and that is if I can even get a mortgage for the amount I need. I remortgaged in 2007 for £90k when I was on about the same as now but not sure if its different for moving house. I will have at least £35k deposit though which will be under 75% LTV borrowing just about depending on what house I would go for.
The thing that holds me back is how local everything is now (except work) and the size of the rooms I have here. My lounge diner is approx 22ft long by 10ft. My bedroom is 16ftx12, DS is 12x10 but DDs is only 8x6 with the boiler in it.
I have a ds loo adn small utility area as well where some of the houses dont have that and you wouldnt think you would miss a ds loo but you would lol
I dont have a drive and some have and also a conservatory which would be lovely.
I keep talking myself into it then out of it grrr.
The other biggy getting a job and adding a few years onto the mortgage.
The latter wont be too bad due to OPs already being done helps in the long run and I would have probably upsized in a few years once there was little left on it anyway.
I am scared to do it all on my own as I dont really know the ins an outs of things either.
I have put £250 into savings rather than OPing and taking another month off, by the weekend I should know whether to OP or not lol arrghhhh
Rightmove and zoopla have a lot to answer for!!!!MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

It's horrible having to make the decisions isn't it. I guess you'll know after you've viewed the houses as to whether any of them are right for you.0

Yes, it is scary buying a house all on your own - I know because I've recently done it - but don't let that stop you if moving would be the right thing for you and your family. You can do it, just like you've done other things on your own because you had to.
I'd advise checking out the mortgage situation before things go much further, though. You don't want to get everything else in place and then find it all grinds to a halt because nobody will give you a mortgage. Once you have a realistic idea of what you can borrow, you'll be in a better position to make informed decisions about what to do next.
Good luck.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

I know the nationwide have a good calculator guide as to how much you can borrow.0
