 Poor little car
Someone went into the front of our new car a couple of months ago, and we had a hire car for one week, which icluded the time it took to order a whole new front and bonnet, but I have to say you would never know it had an accident its as new still. Anyway glad you are all ok.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Oh no, I'm glad you're all ok though.0

Yes I got upset this morning but now its an inconvenience. I have a huge (to me) Ford Focus. Garage say they have to do an estimate first and then wait until they are given the go ahead. Its BH wkd too which will slow things down. I imagine its going to be a couple of weeks at least. You would think they would hurry it up to have less hire car costs! I hope I dont have to drive this car for too long as I dont like it
I will see how I go with it and if not then I will ask to change it for smaller if poss.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Aww that's awful - same happened to me last Aug - horrible isn't it. We were stopped at a traffic light they came into us, hit the accelarator rather than brake.
My car was less than a year old, had a 12 year old fiesta before, i had both my kids in car too. Youngest was 6 weeks old. The irony was we ended up comforting the other driver as she was mortified that we had such young kids in our car.
I hate to say it but we were without our car for two months. It needed a new rear end and door.OPs so far £42,139

Blimey Pammy. That is a mess isn't it. I think that is what is known as s0d's law isn't it. Glad to hear you are all ok, and thank goodness she has took responsibility.
Cars are meant to do that, but i hope they will fix it for you. If the chassis is twisted they might write it off as it is most of the car that isn't it, not just door panels. Few thousands worth at the very least for the garage to fix it. My FILs car had a small ding where a woman caught it parking, and he was quoted £500 for one panel. Cars are expensive stuff.
At least the car took that impact and not the kids eh. Hugs for you and yours.0 -

TWO months!
I dread to think what it would have been like if we were in my old escort, it definitely would have shunted us across the road prob into more traffic. This car saved us from injury :AMPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

It was a joke, everytime they said it would be tomorrow and it never was. Then they admitted they were waiting for a new door.
When we go it back the electrics didn't work, so it had to go back. Then the white paint didn't match, you could see where it had been in a collision.
I was happy in the end though:DOPs so far £42,139
