Hiya, yes I am still around lol, just havent really been on here that much. Still doing all my surveys etc but feeling a bit low as I always get. It annoys me when I speak to people about how I dont like spending money and they look at you like you are some sort of alien. Obviously there are people that would rather live and sopend as and when they like without a care.
There are also those people who will land on there feet as they have rich parents or grandparents whose death will sort them out financially. It really winds me up. Its like they are waiting for them to die so they will be sorted out.

I went to bingo last night with a friend and she wanted to go for a chinese afterwards. I didnt fancy it and I didnt want to spend that extra amount of money either. I know that you also have to have a life blah blah but if I wanted to treat myself it would be better spent on something else!
I then went out for a meal today and he paid for that today too :) but I will have to pay the next time I guess.

Have ordered a £10 asda on maximiles, the surveys on there soon boost your points and I have been checking the videos that give you 5 points for looking so I am back up to 384 again. Had a BP amazon and with there extra calendar points I have redeemed for another one this week too so that will be 3 this month.
Also had a NV £1 which has taken me to £45 on there, so close :j
Also started doing GTMs again and am now at 780 there.
Ebay has perked up a bit more and I am at £35ish profit. Not going to break my bank is it lol

Got £30 sent from ex MIL/FIL for xmas which was nice (might use it for a new style haircut :)). And my boss did a quick last minute present as it was my last day at work before xmas and put a voucher in my card which was a very nice £25 amazon voucher. I was shocked at the amount but very nicely put on my shelf with my £5 lovetoshop voucher from nivea :)

Anyway looking forward to a couple of weeks off and have absolutely nothing planned for next week but relaxation!! :o

Relaxation sounds good to me. Enjoy the week.
  • I have been getting myself stressed out and down too Pammy. Nice to see you back though i am mightly glad you had some time out as well as the surveys.

Sounds like you have been busy. I need to get myself back on BP by the sounds of it. Not enough time for everything is there.

I have my windows calendar set to remind me at 7.55 lol to go on BP. I sit with my lappy on by the side of me if I am not doing surveys.
I forgot to mention mysurvey has been really good and I have enough to get another £8 but they are having probs with paypal so I have let it keep rising :D

I just get really wound up with it all. We just physically cant keep this frugality and penny earning up solidly for the next 9 years or so but I have to keep looking at the end goal and know thsat I am doing this to make my life better in the long run.
I have to tell myself that the occassional wasteful spending is good for your soul :o

  • I think that is what is getting at me too Pammy. It feels so little i wonder if i am getting the point and not wasting my time completely, but it is like a sore you can't stop picking at. I have to force myself to do more.

My survey has been pretty rubbish for me to be honest, but the ones i have done seem to be better paid as i have another £3 in there. My last £3 finally arrived. I'm hoping they are just having teething problems.

Are you having a complete break from it all over christmas? I will when we are away at least, but will return in earnest no doubt.

I had a friend with money troubles who was always going on about it but never followed any advice to improve her situation. She was always talking about the money she would get when her parents passed on and how she'd be ok then. I found it really difficult to listen too. Most of us have the odd daydream about winning the lottery etc but at least people on MSE are prepared to make hard choices to get to where they want.
