aww hun, its not that bad is it? Look after yourself and try and have some 'me' time.

Went to the next town after the school concert this morning for a change of shops. Glad I did, found a shop that had all their toys half price. Managed to get a few games and things for DS to bulk up his xmas pile. Kids are now completely done! Have even just wrapped them all up and put under the stairs.

Got my xmas crackers as well, think we will put the tree up this weekend and we'll write our cards.

Put a few more signs on ebay last night and have found bargain board envelopes on there for my poems and keepsakes that I will start again in the new year. The only prob with these is that I have to phsically post them at the PO rather than a post box which is a pain.

off to pick kids up now. Havent stopped today :)

Well I am very excited as went to see a car this morning and will be going for a test drive tomorrow. Not the best situation on my own with the kids but needs must. A friend of mine was going to come but cant make it now. I was all set to offer them a reduced price and have looked on their site today and they have reduced it by £400 aleady and they should offer me £300-£400 for my car so I am still going to offer them a lower price (thats my way!!) and will walk away unless they agree :) I dont mind losing the car as I have seen a couple of others at a cheaper price but not as good a spec. Its a citroen c3 with panaromic roof, cheap £30 tax and insurance group 3 :j
Am just about to check the insurance quotes for it. EDIT: looks like there will be no change in the insurance price if I pay it all in one go and then just transfer monies over to savings account instead. Plus if I do it through cashback can get some money off :)

If I buy this car I can probably OP £2k  which will take me under £70k on Jan 1st  but havent decided yet.

I wasnt very mse today, spent £10 for a car wash and hoover to make my car more presentable :o took the money out of my spare change pot tho lol

Got my caravan hol confirmation this morning and also my mortgage yearly statement. States that I have 11 years and 3 months left but my SS says 10 years 4 months. So OPing is fab eh? If I do OP the £2k then thats another 4 months off and I'll be into 2020 end date :j and a good start to next year possibly? :)

Look at the £10 as an investment as they may offer you more the car. we should get to know each other properly as I could watch the children for you (and vice versa!) Now I sound a bit dodgy!

Hi pammy, don't quite understand the years left on your mortgage being different to the banks ?
Anyway I hope all goes well with the car today, it sounds great, and although a big outlay its a long term investment isn't it. It should cost so much less over the next few years that it will end up paying for itself anyway :)
We scrapped our old big galaxy earlier this year and went for a new hyundai i30 (as small as we could go really) , and now tax is 1/2 price petrol less than 1/2 price cheaper ins. and no paying £1700 to get it through the mot like the last time!
Good luck with getting the price down , I'm sure you can :D

Ohhh, good luck with the car hon, and that would be a great start to the year - new car & months lobbed off the mortgage :T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

It took me a while to get my head around it but what happens is you OP and it takes the end date down but the bank still leave your term the same. They will probably kniock the MP down so their end date stays at theirs and I caneither OP the extra or I can reduce my term to up the payments back to the same date as my SS states.
People do it different ways but I prefer to see it in writing that my term will end in 10 years :) Others leave there MPs low in case they get into trouble and make up the payments to what they were paying before.

Good news I have gone on the website this morning and they have already put the price down £400 ovenight so I am going to haggle just a little bit this morning. I have seen another car so not completely set on this one but I know the kids will love the panoramic roof.
People are warning me about french cars though and that parts and labour are dear?

No joy, they sold it as I was on my way to them. I am so gutted, if I had got there earlier I would have had it :(
Went to another car place but there was nothing I could see for me.
The car salesman at citroen says they do have another car with similar spec but without the panaramic roof and at just £5294 and less mileage but its blue :( I am such a girl when it comes to car colours haha. I'll see. I am going to have another look around.

So this car wasnt meant to be mine 8.gif

  • That's the way to look at it. Not yours for a reason. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you spot something similar.
