Thanks SS. If I am a role model & inspiration then you are all in trouble. I am deeply unhappy. I might have money now but I have no friends to invite me out, for me to turn around to and say "sorry, I am saving and cant come out to play". My life is in limbo at the moment, and am a bit fed up & waiting for Aug. I am trying to snap out of it & enjoy my last few months here - and thanks for the compliment but really, I DO need to lose weight!! Paying off debt was sOOooo much easier in comparison. ;0)

Thanks for your comments SS - they have cheered me up a little. Nice to know I have someone looking out for me.

    xx

Hello, I hope I'm not out of line by joining in the conversation, I guess the money doesn't = happiness tugged on a string here.
I don't know what is happening in August, but it's quite a few months away, and as you're now debt free, can you not start to join in somethings? I've moved a few times, and always feel quite stressed when it happens as putting in effort to meet nice new people is hard work - but it's worth it. If you did a couple of night school classes or something, you might meet some nice people that could keep you going til August?

Losing weight - they said this morning on GMTV (so it must be true ;-) ) that 98% of women don't like their body. (not sure how many men!). And I'm definitely 1 of them. People I've only known a short while say I don't need to lose weight, while people I've known for years will say I'm the heaviest I've ever been! Different perspectives! I hate diets, they just make every1 miserable - have you read the why french women don't get fat book? it's very intersesting and talks about learning the triggers, learning to enjoy little bits of tasters, rather than eating too much in 1 go. It seems v sensible.
But if that's not a good thing - weigh!!!!chers and stuff have quite friendly people, and maybe you could meet some new friends there?
I hope I've been a bit helpful. Although I've never even 'chatted' to you before, I'm sending a big hug. Being unhappy is horrid - but it doesn't have to be permanent, and only you can change it :) Good luck

we women are a funny bunch though. It doesn't matter how many times we're told we're beautiful or have got a lovely body or don't need to lose weight, if we don't believe it ourselves, it won't change our minds.
but.... that doesn't mean men should stop saying it!!! :-)

Thats why I'll never understand women. You won't believe us when we say that but if you ask us "does this skirt make my bum look big?" and we say yes, you fly off the handle!

Thanks Sam!! Of course I dont mind you replying - I appreciate your thoughts & tips!!

I am happy with my figure, but would be happier if there was less of it, hehe!!

I suppose if you are trying to save money/watch what you eat at the same time - its not much fun.

I do need to try & meet some new people as I dont want my last 4 months in London being as boring as hell - I enjoy my own company to a certain extent, but have even started driving myself mad :0)

    Thanks again Sam xx

I'm glad you're happy with your figure, so am I (just want 2 stone off it!), back to feeling good about myself.
I've heard London can be quite a lonely place, but I think you should get out there :-) go meet some people, do something interesting... :-) the world's your oyster!
I can only spend about 1/2 hour on my own before I drive myself barmy!!!!! I feel quite sorry for my mates really!!!

Have you looked into any interesting hobby things or classes or anything?

    Of course! A woman's perogative!
Never ever ever say yes! never!
It is ALWAYS the wrong answer!! Bum's never look big!!
My ex got really good at saying things the right way. He started saying things like, "I prefer x dress/skirt/trousers, they look really flattering, that doesn't look as nice as the others" and he even started talking about how V necks are more flattering for ladies with a larger bust! The boy did good!! :-)

2 stone less for me would be good too ;0)

I think I have just lost interest in London to be honest. I know that when I go to Oz I wont know anyone (well a couple of people) but I cant wait as it will be fun meeting new people. At the moment I just feel like working, going home, working, going home!!

I must try to go to the gym a bit more (although thats not very social).

I'll be fine. A lot of my mates have moved on thats all and its dawned on me that I could count my friends on one hand (well, one finger) hehe!!

    xx

I go swimming twice a week - not just because its wears of calories, but its stops me sitting around and feeling bored. I always, always eat more when I am bored. I go with someone from work. We try not to let each other down -which means on a cold winter night we will leave the cosy house.

Might weight has still gone up though so now I am dieting as well as exercising.
