Well i am feeling quite good today, not only have i done what excercise my hurt toe would allow but i hvae kept to a healthy eating plan, drunk loads of water and just been quite determined which wasn't easy as it was that time of a month when a womans cravings can make her dangerous :D

It must be paying of because in the last weekish i have lost 3 pounds :j

Long way to go but almost at my first goal. I decided to set several of them as i have so much to lose and it will help to keep me motivated by setting smaller goals on the way to the large one, i hope :D

First goal is to be under 13 stone and almost there so hopefully by the end of next week i should have acheived it and be on the way to my next goal which is to reach 12 stone 7lbs.

Keep up the great work everyone and heres to another great week for us all :j

This is a great thread. Thanks for the good ideas everyone. I have been fairly good with the excercise today. I did an hour's walking this morning and did some heavy digging in the garden for half an hour this afternoon. I am on holiday though and its so much easier when there aren't some many others things to fit in the evening.

    Hi all!

    Well done to piglet6! :j

Question: does it count if you eat chips while walking briskly and carrying a big bag? Surely these activities just cancel each other out?

It absolutely doesn't count if you eat chips while walking briskly and carrying a big bag - those activities definitely cancel each other out! :D

Sadly, my chip butties on Saturday were consumed whilst sitting on a sofa watching a DVD... :o which I'm fairly sure doesn't cancel out anything at all!!! :rotfl:

Well done QueenB - thats a great loss...and well resisted on the cravings. :T

Prudent: if you run out of garden to dig, please feel free to pop round, because I have plenty of heavy digging in my garden which I am willing to let you tackle (out of the goodness of my heart :p - I wouldn't charge you for the privilege or anything...! ;) ).

Callisto - I'll keep my fingers crossed for Wednesday/Thursday and look out for you posting a loss . I think you're very brave to not keep your scales in the house. Its a downfall of mine that I hop on and off all the time (at least each morning, and often in the evenings...) and before everybody jumps on me, I know its not the right thing to do :naughty: - but I have to do it anyway!! :embarasse

I think walking with the chips obviously cancels them out! :rotfl: Good idea!

If walking with chips cancels each other out what about walking whilst eating chocolate? :D

I think you have to run with chocolate ;)

A very good day for me so far - eaten healthily, been to the gym *and* just been car washing too!

Big test tonight though - its ER night, often my downfall. Got a bag of ryvita mini's ready though, and a nice cup of tea with skimmed milk - fingers crossed! :)

Good Evening everyone! Wow I am amazed at how well everyone is doing! Bravo!
You are all STARS!!! QueenB and Piglet, amazing!!! :D

I have been walking like crazy and eating vegetarian, no meat in a week so far! And no chocolate!!! (Although that technically is a veggie! ;) )

Phil/Batfink, I'm pretty sure you will resist temptation! Strap yourself to the sofa, lock the door to the kitchen, and put a mean looking, ferocious doberman next to the cake and sweets! :D

I must confess the in-laws are heaven sent, they keep me on my toes, no way I can get slow down or get anywhere near chocolate. Have been walking and walking and...what else? walking! The two teenagers seemed to be plugged to the main grid and I can't seem to find the off button!! ;) But I am pretty sure this will make for a great weigh in next week!!!

Tomorrow I am leaving the credit card and debit card at home...they are going shopping, with me in toe...

    Well done QueenB!! Yay! :T

I don't agree about running with chocolate - so undignified and doubly so in high heels.

Try a boogie with a Mars bar instead.

Chocolate does indeed count towards your five a day, but only if it's a strawberry creme, apricot whirl or fruit and nut.

Doncha all just :heart2: the support on this thread? I can only imagine if I'd admitted such a chip-eating (while walking and lugging a big bag, mind) faux pas at Weight Watchers, Slimming World or Atkins Anonymous ... cue chin-stroking, humming and muttering, and slow shakes of heads.

    None of that here! :T :T :T
