    Welcome Vix1978!! :)

QueenB do be careful, 1year !/2 ago I banged my toe against the bed post and didnt think more about it until 3 days later when it really started to hurt and finally went to see the doctor. Had to have it Xrayed and turned out to be broken...still hurts now and again.

Haven't been for a walk today (naughty!) but been cleaning like crazy. Now I don't want the in-laws to come and stay...too clean for them! They'll spoil it!!

Does anyone know how to make a dog vaccum his own hair? Have tried to explain to him that since it's his he should pick it up...he gave me one of those "...what is she on about kind of look..." and didn't seem too impressed!
I'll try and convince OH to walk the dog...to tired now! :D

Toe sounds painful - hope it soon heals :(

I'm afraid my TV watching problem occured again last night - cakes and biscuits galore. So that put me in a bad mood to start the day which has been worsened by moaning ignorant idiots at work this morning and just makes me want to eat eat eat and spend spend spend.

Luckily, I guess, I have a trainer booked at the gym for 3pm so I'll have to go....

This weight loss thing seems to be a painful experience! I hope hurt people feel better soon.

I can polish my halo this morning as I walked the 45 minutes into work. I not only got the extra exercise but I saved myself the £1.50 tube fare. Will be getting weighed later so will let you know how I get on.

Morning all!! I winced at the toe tale....painful!!!

Tooth has been temporarily patched up (temp filling is foul tasting muck!) and I go back Sat to have it fixed (only £400 - eeeeek). It seems there was a large hairline crack in the tooth which just gave way....niiiiice. It doesn't actually hurt, but I made sure by having a few vodkas during the game last night. Any excuse!

Looking on the bright side....I can only have soup or soft things so a few days of that combined with lots of walking should shift a few pounds!:D

I'm off to visit friends in Oxford today - all going for a meal so that'll be a few pounds to add to the wardrobe kitty!

So good luck with all the exercising, being good and moneysaving you lot....I expect to read lots of tales of motivation and success when I'm back! This thread has spurred me on no end and if this friendly support can do it for me, it can do it for anyone!

    Go for it!! :j

Wow well done you guys :) I like all the pub drinks ideas, maybe you can use a little magic to rework a white wine spritzer in there too? :)

Batfink: I definitely think you should give up TV or stop binge eating in front of it :-O Why not have a later meal so at least you're eating healthily when watching TV so you don't get the urge to snack and afterwards you're full so don't want snacks anyway?

freebird65: I'm so sorry to hear about your tooth!? Who was it that said vegetables were good for us? :D

Everyone: Wow you guys are really great, everyone's done something positive and it's really motivational. In line with previous comments, I think that a group of portly DFW's should be referred to as a cuddle. "A cuddle of DFW's" :D

I'm very eager for my weigh-in tomorrow. So far this week I've had 3 meals and have only done the most moderate of exercise (I walked up a hill and hoovered), so I hope I've lost about 3lbs. ~**Fingers crossed**~

I hope you get on ok with the trainer at the gym - let us know how you get on.

Now Batfink....you don't need to stop eating whilst you are in front of the telly....but you must replace the cakes and biscuits with grapes or a bag of unsalted peanuts & raisins or something like that! You can then pick at them without guilty feelings. Or even better, if it is feasible, watch the telly and march on the spot at the same time for a while....or even just during the adverts or run up and down the stairs a few times during the adverts!

Come on now...remember absoultely every little bit of exercise helps and it is free exercise. Once those endorphins kick in (happy hormones released by exercise) there will be no stopping you!
