What a fantastic way to start the day!!! And how this thread keeps growing is amazing!!
By the looks of it I have the more weight to loose so will be here to welcome the next generation and will probably only "graduate" after the third or fourth one.
I have a wedding in 2 weeks time and I am not going to weesel myself out of this one (I do have a tendency to invent an excuse for not going somewhere just so I don't have to face ppl).
Today detox continues and will be doing extra exercise as I have decided to spring clean the house for the dreaded out-laws!
No Choc and no meat either for past 2 days!!!!0 -
Morning!!
Feeling good today - walked back to the park and ride last night instead of getting the bus so got 45mins of free exercise(and a lung full of car fumes but the less said the better)
Today's goal is to be good for my meal out tonight. Is a friends birthday and she wants chinese so I have my work cut out for me, but I've set myself a budget and am allowing myself one glass of wine then water after that so hopefully won't do too much damage to my waistline or wallet!!
Got home-made weight watchers pointless soup for lunch
Hows you all getting on?Student moneysaving club - member no. 6Uni Reading0 -
Morning all!
Even more determined after the shocker of last night's official weigh-in. Have decided that from now on I HAVE to have a lunch break for exercise etc instead of working through so am walking into town.
This evening will be a test for me too....it's Juventus v Arsenal and we're all off to the pub to watch/cheer....and drink. This will be a real test of my resolve as I usually find this pub's large vodkas & coke for £2 too hard to resist.......and I do like a drink...and it sooooo goes with football....
I must be strong, I must be strong....:D0 -
I discovered this while travelling in Germany and it is really good... Points free, no alcohol, so no diet breaching!
1:5 mix of Apple squash (no sugar added one- Sainsburys and Somerfield do nice ones) and sparkling water. They call it Appfell Shower (Probably wrong spelling, and probably wrong accent, but that is what it sounded like.) Really good if cold / chilled, you can feel the bubbles...:D
If you are going to the pub...this is not points free but might help...
Mix your glass of wine with Sprite or Fanta (Light sugar free please!), makes for a sophisticated "I am drinking a cocktail" kinda look... But we might as well get used to it for when we all become super models
Also if anyone is feeling like a desert, light fruity one...
Take a pack of light sugar free jello (any taste you want) and make as directed, once it has set / hardened, whizz it through the blender with 2 or 3 small pots of virtually fat free greek style yogurt (depending on how much you can/want to eat).
Pour the mixture into nice glasses, or bowls, and put in the fridge to chill for about 4 hours.
Depending on what diet you are doing this is either points free or has very low points count.0 -
I like it.....thanks Annando!
Spelling close but perfect accent by the way
One good thing about tonight - not that OH knows it yet - but we're going to walk there and back - about 2 miles each way which is more walking than I've done in....ermmmm.....a while!
Who needs supermodels when you have DF&FW's??!!! :rotfl:0 -
Morning my slimming associates.
Big test for me will be watching Desperate Housewives tonight without raiding the cupboard - Monday nights ER became a biscuit and cake fest but I'm very determined now. Got a bag of Rivta Minis ready - which are really nice and as a double benefit everyone else seems to think they taste like cardboard so I don't have to share!
The Apple drink sounds nice Annando - I wonder if apple juice could work the same way to make it even healthier?
I'm tempted to brake my no spend week by buying a new cycling helmet today, then I can start cycling to town rather than driving.... decisions decisions.
Good luck today my ever shrinking friends

Apple drink has more calories, no added sugar squash has less calories. Healthwise I think they are the same. I have tried doing it with apple drink but it's not as good.
If I were you I'd buy the helmet, 2 reasons, first you would save money on the petrol (and car less used so less maintenance) and then you would loose more weight... so buying this helmet is actually money well spent, so money saving in essence!
I'll think of you tonight while I watch DHW with no chocolate to hand!!
Have actually been paid for some work I did 2 weeks ago...so can pay more into OH card!! Hurray!!!0 -
Good afternoon fellow Df&FW's.
I have begun my day with drinking so much water i feel like i could be an undiscovered sea, but i feel great, when not running to the bathroom :rotfl:
Actually ate breakfast which i never normally do, some shreddies covered in sliced fresh bananas scrummy.
Once lunch is out of the way it will be time for my walk and someone one upthere must be feeling kind becuase it is a beautiful sunny day today, chilly but bright.
I have decided to get the kids involved they will be my little cheer group as well as sweet police LOL My youngest even suggested i do a star chart for myself, like they all have, i get a star for each pound i lose, and i actually think it sounds like a great idea so i will work on that later.
Keep up the good work everyone :jSuccess means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Johnny Cash
