WOW how fast has this thread grown. Just taken me ages to catch up. Congrats to everyone on the will-power, and motivation. Very impressed!!! :T
I got my OH to take the dreaded photos last night
My exact words were - 'my God do i really look that bad from behind???!'
Still, it helped me stick to healthy cereal for brekkie, jacket spud for lunch and have done a home made tomato sauce for pasta tonight.
Have also just got back from a 30min walk round the block - very unfit!!!!
Well done everyone who has lost so far, and to everyone else for starting their plans, and welcome to everyone joining us on this quest.
So what goals does everyone hhave for tomorrow???
I am gonna try and walk a bit further, and have brekkie again (something i find very hard to do, even though everyone says how good it is for you!)What's he building in there???

How much did we over spend whilst on maternity leave :mad:0 -
Tomorrow will see my third day at the gym so far this week - then I've booked a trainer for Thursday to help me get a good routine for my summer beach bod
Just been out now washing mine and my mum's cars too - that must be good excercise I'm sure!

QueenB. wrote:Thanks minniespender, he is.
I did try him on the fish oils not just for his joints but because he has special educational needs and i decided to give it a try when i heard about the research being done, but only after discussing it with his doctor. However he has very bad food sensitivites this makes giving him anything, even changing a brand, very difficult. We tried the tablets first but he reacted quickly to them, so we changed to liquids thinking it may have been the shell of the tablets but once again he reacted, after several months of trail and error we decided to just accept that for the moment that is not a route we can take.
However i have included some oily fish to his diet, only once a week at the moment because he's body is still adjusting but the reaction has not been too severe at the moment so fingers crossed we can keep that up and that it does do some good.
I've got my fingers crossed for you too.
I still think he sounds like a mini-hero though! Big up to da PrinceB! :T:eek: What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
Hiya,
Blimey, everyone seems to be doing really well! I've just done my first half an hour exercise 'session' for the week :j , the idea being that you do 5 a week for 28 days then you really turn around your health and fitness! (hopefully!!) at first i thought 5 a week would be impossible but really it's only one episode of eastenders so can't be that bad!!
keep up the good work all!

Evening all!! OK, so this evening a good friend of mine in the same boat as me and I both went and joined Weight Watchers. I've never done something like that before in my life and have to admit I was a bit terrified! The reasoning behind it is that we may be more inclined to stick to our goals if we actually have to go and get weighed every week - basically we're going to shame ourselves into sticking to it....especially as we both turned out to be half a stone heavier than we thought!!
The so-called motivational speaker at the "meeting" afterwards was pants, so we've decided that next week we'll walk to and from the weigh in instead of staying for the meeting - a better use of our time and total of 6 miles!! From two lazy bints, that's a good start!
We've also dug out pedometer thingies and are having a competition to see who walks the most and the winner get's to have a glass of wine!0 -
Hey Freebird65, I reckon you have the right idea about the walking to & from the meeting (I hope the weather is kind next week!)....action speaks louder than any words mate!
You do the right thing getting a pedometer each....I tell you those things become as addictive as MSE-ing!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Not wrong LookingAhead.......but we're very determined and this thread has left me feeling very motivated!!!
And, looking ahead (pardon the pun!) we have a holiday in Newquay coming up at the end of May and we feel new clothes coming on  ....but preferably not from Evans!!:o Then there's a good mate's wedding in September....etc, etc.....need I say more?
And, at the end of the day.....and much more important than our looks, is the benefit to our overall health!!!!
Bring it on!0
