Hi Looking Ahead
Tried noodle bar last week, had fried bean curd and mushrooms with noodles, only 1 veggie dish on offer! Lovely though.
Went to the Cuckoo in Alwalton, only 1 veggie dish on menu, but apparently they have more if you ask. Was yummy. Lovely place and really nice staff too.
Thanks for that! The noodle stuff sounds lovely! I will have to save some pennies and check it out. I have heard of The Cuckoo but never been there so that's one for the "Must Try It When Better Off" list!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly

Welcome Beany
The more the merrier. With all these posters we should soon be able to create our own subcutaneous fat mountain. Do you think we could find some way of storing the fat we lose and annoying Banks/Bailiffs/Credit card companies with it? :rotfl:
I've not weighed myself this week, as I've had a bad week. Is that sticking my head in the sand? Oh Yes, it's just like ignoring my bank statements and bills (which I don't do anymore).
I will weigh myself next Wednesday and see how I'm getting on. Little Bro's wedding on 4th Nov."Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it." (Montgomery, L.M.(1908). Anne of Green Gables.)

Beany - welcome aboard!
Freebird - well done, girl! Allow yourself a moment of smugness for your grown-upped-ness!
Bobbly - it's Thursday evening. We are waiting for an up-Date! Pronto, if you please! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
Welcome aboard Beany and congrats on Beany Jnr!! The more the merrier....and you'll find us a merry bunch....specially me and Minnie on a Monday evening!
Bobbly - Don't you do a loopylou on us and keep us in suspense....please spill the beans on the date (just not down yerself!!)
Minnie - moment of smug grown-uppedness evaporated rapidly in Boots this evening....was looking for (cheap) items of make up (well, lipgloss and mascara which is about all I wear), when several young embryos in wonderbras (you know the type!) pushed past me impatiently and one tutted to her mate and hissed "Well, SHE needn't bother!". I looked at them and resisted the urge to tell them to call Trinny & Susannah!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Have been very good today - tuna jacket for lunch and roast chicken & veg for dinner.....and resisted all yummy free treats on offer at Boots!:T0 -

EVIL little sh*ts!!!
Ooh, you just let me at 'em! How VERY dare they?
LA put me straight on this point a while ago. Remember how when you were an embryo you'd look at older ladies and wished you had their style? Well, you're one of them now and I bet you have your own sense of style and glamour. If they don't think that, they'll never aspire to anything more than copping off with the latest boy band freakaloid.
Rest up, easy in the knowledge that you'll never be plagued by acne and hanging around bus-stops again. Cider will never again be your tipple of choice. And, best of all, it's coming to them very soon (oh, how the days fly by!).
I'm feeling doubly smug today as I was an a retro event last night. Most people dressed up, but it was us older boppers who DRESSED up. Whoever told these children that red lipstick with a Van Halen T-shirt elegance makes? Jaws dropped when I sashayed in - and mostly off the embryos. Ho ho! The secret is that us oldies have had time to study style and we've made our mistakes. And never again!
For every Lily Allen there is a Dita von Teese.
For every Paris Hilton there is a Sharon Stone.
For every embryo in a Wonderbra there is a Freebird_65.
Up and at 'em, girl! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160
