Try sharing it with hubby, so instead of a "post argument" kind of silence, you have a "mouth full" kind of silence. The nicer kind..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Oh Freebird!
This won't just result in weight loss! You'll also get deep furrows from all that frowning. Then you'll be on the botox trail.
Is this a Big Issue or a small problem? I suggest you get his favourite food and coax him gently out of his bad mood. He's probably as upset as you are but the universal truth is that men don't show it. Unless you belt them.
One of you needs to start talking. The strong thing would be to get in there first. You don't have to apologise.
Good luck xxx:eek: What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
Hi everyone.
Freebird, how're you doing, any improvement in the stand-off?
So quick up-Date :rotfl:
Had a lovely evening, went to gorgeous village pub/restaurant, he paid for dinner. We talked and laughed the whole time and I'm meeting him at lunchtime on Thursday. Still a bit uncertain, but he's very gentlemanly and made me laugh, he's very tall, I'm 5' 2", so most people seem tall, but he's very tall.
On a FFW note, I had a vegetarian dish, stuffed aubergine something, and did not eat too many potatoes, also was not drinking as was driving so on low-cal appletiser. No pudding."Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it." (Montgomery, L.M.(1908). Anne of Green Gables.)

Noodles are thin therefore by eating them you will be thin also.

I wonder if that is true......
Actually I should point out that whilst I am always curious about places to eat....I don't eat out *that* often! It is a luxury....Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

I'm liking the theory about noodles being thin, therefore scoffer of said noodles is too.......am huge fan of noodles and happy to spend a few weeks eating them to test this theory.
OH update.....thank you all for kind words and sorted advice....you're right of course. So last night I gritted my teeth and made the first move....the look of relief on his face was immense. Asked him why I always had to make the first move and he said (with a sheepish grin) "Cos I'm crap and was scared you'd squish me like an annoying fruit fly". All made up now....:D

Hi Looking Ahead
Tried noodle bar last week, had fried bean curd and mushrooms with noodles, only 1 veggie dish on offer! Lovely though.
Went to the Cuckoo in Alwalton, only 1 veggie dish on menu, but apparently they have more if you ask. Was yummy. Lovely place and really nice staff too."Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it." (Montgomery, L.M.(1908). Anne of Green Gables.)
