In fact Kazmeister I'm going to go up now and clean a bit of our bedroom and declutter 100 items.
Wish me luck, I'm going in.:rotfl:
:rotfl: Good luck
I think I better go find a bin bag too - the little box of card for recycling has been there since I wrapped Christmas presents
Still OH has just gone to make me a cuppa tea best I have that first :rotfl:Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Oooh Kaz, your bedroom looks lovely!! (design/space wise of course!! lol) Is it in the attic space?
I love seeing other peoples houses - I think I'm obsessed...
Its half the attic space - you should see the other half :rotfl:
in fact you can - and theres still space to fill in there

Firstly the art is to declutter then the cleaning gets easier, I have managed to declutter downstairs but the upstairs I dont think I'll ever get done and as for the attic, well I wont even go there.
So feel free to have a laugh at my expense and realise that probably yours isnt so bad after all.
You see I wasnt joking.
I actually counted 14 pairs of shoes on my bedroom floor this morning
Well..
I win..
The girls room you cannot actually SEE the floor.. and until I spent a few hours binning and flinging in there the last few WEEKS!! it was about 2-3 feet deep all over... everywhere.. not just one corner.. wall to wall from the door!!
The boys room has been gutted today.. I've had 5 binbags of rubbish and broken toys.. 3 loads of washing.. moved the beds round.. shifting the pc in a minute.. moved the chest of drawers and WILL find a whole carpet in there...
I've pulled the junior bed out to fling as well.
From the garden I have flung 1 bike.. I have about 3 more to go amongst other broken toys etc I just decided one thing at a time to go.
I vacuumed the bathroom ad did absolutely nothing from todays list!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Now I really know how the special needs kids at school feel when they never finish/catch up with others:( I always thought I knew how it felt or at least could empathise, its worse than I thought.
Anyway, I am off to be miserable tidying my room, knowing I won't complete it:(
You really shouldn't think like that, "knowing" you won't complete it will never get you in the right frame of mind to complete it, and like the other ladies have said baby steps at first. It really doesn't matter that you don't get a star yet, there is always next time. The most important thing is that you yourself feel as if you have achieved something, please don't be to hard on yourself.
Hi rosepink pleased that you are having a good time.
PigPen what room is it tomorrow?
I've sent most of the afternoon doing gardening, I not good at it (killed a tree/bush thingie already and we've only been here since last September) - I have no idea what most of the plants / bushes / trees are so I'm going to take photos and put them on the gardening thread and ask there. I also need to get a pair of them pruning tools, was pruning today with garden shears, the neighbors most think I'm a right tool:rotfl:, I got to go make bread buns it will take 20 minutes to knead etc so I'll be doing a HHI at 8.45 if anyone is daft enough to join me0 -

OK you win but
To be fair you can only see a bit of the floor in DD's room as OH went in there the other day and trod on a tube of lip gloss that went everywhere so he cleaned up that bit and filled a bag of rubbish at the same time.
I bet you did your bedroom though I remember you talking about painting it recently - mine hasnt got any further from when we compared before and that was HOW long ago.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

Just wanted to send big (((hugs))) to everyone whos been feeling down today.
I have a confession to make just before tea time went into dining room to get a few things from the fridge ready for (we have to keep the fridge and chest freezer in there because of no room n kitchen)only fell fast asleep in the arm chair thats next to the freezer think i was asleep for about an hour and a half woke up when kids started to ask their dad where their tea was hubby said he didnt wake me cause i must have needed the sleep.
Just need to make kids lunchs up and fold some clothes away but watching something about diets on itv first then need to find what channel ghost whisperer is on must remember to ask kids how to use the tv reminder thingy on sky lol.0 -

nope.. BUT I have ordered a new duvet cover and bedding as incentive so hopefully I'll be getting it finished at some point this year.. I am concentrating on clearing clutter at the moment.. while I have the motivation.. I don't get it very often!!
I do have paint for 1 or 2 walls and have found some silver and pink wallpaper I am thinking of purchasing for the another 1 or 2 or 3.. but the ceilings are so high I don't know if I can force myself to paper it myself.. terrible fear of heights and 12 ft ceilings are not very compatible..:eek::eek:
I have also had 9 binbags of rubbish from the girls room over the last few weeks, I did 3 huge full to bursting bags in less than 10 minutes!! and a huge pile of clothes that no longer fit.. I am hoping to get a few ebay pics done tonight and maybe some filling in the holey walls too...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
