Now I really know how the special needs kids at school feel when they never finish/catch up with others:( I always thought I knew how it felt or at least could empathise, its worse than I thought.
Anyway, I am off to be miserable tidying my room, knowing I won't complete it:(
Oh Pooh, have a big hug....hope you are feeling a smidge better this evening...I've been on this site a few months now and I have only ever got two stars, and frankly that was because I roped in other family members to help me. I have decided that at this time in my life, it's better that I keep on plodding through levels one and twos, starting each day afresh and just enjoying all your company online. Maybe this time next year I might be hitting level threes and telling other people about Stardrops, and maybe not.....it's the fact that I will have improved my home for me and mine that matters.
Oooh Kaz, your bedroom looks lovely!! (design/space wise of course!! lol) Is it in the attic space?
I love seeing other peoples houses - I think I'm obsessed...
I agree Pauper, just love seeing other people's houses and Kaz your bedroom is great....if I can just pass this driving test I'd love to come over and help you sort things, other people's clutter is so much more fun than my own!
Other than S&S ing kitchen and bathroom, my flying is on temporary hold while I catch up on the washing......but it's so so nice to have a washing machine that works!0 -

soappie how much do they WANT this house? They have nothing to lose IMHO by getting a quote for the works and presenting that to the vendor. Give them the choice, they get the work done and the offer price stays the same or drop the offer price by the amount of the estimate. Are there other similar ones out there? It's a buyers market so they should have the upper hand.
Sadly, the one bedroomed flat they are trying to buy is a conversion rather than new build and where it is, there's not much other choice of THAT type of flat - ground floor, patio doors, off road parking space etc. Seems I was optimistic about the valuation. It's come in at about 4.5K short of what they need to borrow. DiL is going to see the estate agent and mortgage people in the morning.
They are now arguing about DiL's new phone. She wants help transferring her numbers over. He's being a geek and telling her it's easy enough do it yourself without telling her how to do it ~sigh~ I guess it's displacement arguments...I have traumatised DS3...
Piggers, hope he (and you!) settles down soon xxxtoots - that's a really good tip about dealing with whatever clutter leaps out when you open the door. (with some cupboards it actually leaps out come to think about it...)
I agree with phizz - Toots that was a wonderful bit of psychology there - well done you! I shall remember it.
I am now going to sort the pots out from dinner (some in the DW, some handwashing) and think about bed/I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
