PC Frozen - Help please!

ok right click on usb controller then properties, then advanced. in the left corner there is a box which you can tick which then stops usb error messages popping up. do this for all the usb controller settings.when that is done..... go back to the 1st usb controller right click on it and click on update driver. it will ask if it can connect to windows update choose the option yes one time only, then click next. this will search for new updates for your usb ports. do this for all usb controllers as before.

I've clicked 24C7, and it says 'This device is working properly'

At the top I have options - General - Advanced - Driver - Details - Resourses

Device type
Manufacturer
Location

Troubleshoot
device useage

etc.

Many thanks for your patience here, but as I said earlier on in the thread, Im not very good with these techie type problems...

ok, click on advanced this will take you to the box with another small box on the bottom left for you to check so that it doesnt show the error message

I've done that, and now have a Microsoft Windows message saying...

oh right... i dont really know what to say about that......try updating all your usb controllers....right click your controller as you did before top option is to update... click this

I've put it back to no tick in the box, as I don't have a clue what that message means, and am frightened I'll make matters worse than they are already.
I'll have to leave it as it is at present, and come back later and try to re read the thread.

thats ok.... just update all your usb ports that wont hurt, as i have just done mine

did you update your usb ports? has it made any difference to your pc?

Suppressing the error message won't solve the problem. If your USB mouse is the cause, you'll need to replace it.

No, I didn't like to do anything more in case I ended up with more of those warning messages which posted earlier!
