I've received my letter to say it was a "system error" and they didn't have the stock. Surely somebody managed to get the first one off? I have the web page as a screen shot if you need that to persue, TBeckett100.
I can't see anything in their T&C's stating how they can cancel due to a "system error" - am I missing something??
I can see where it states "our acceptance of your order will create a legal binding contract betwwen us", and also "we reserve the right not to suuply you at our discretion", but not anything about a "system error".

Yes, I've got a great idea. Let's all gang together, use whatever legal arguments we can and see if we can force B&Q into liquidation. Don't lets worry about any one who is employed by them, or whose livelihood depends on them, lets see what we can grab for ourselves. Cos I think it is absolutely right that they should give me personally (and everyone else who took a chance on ordering one) something worth £1500 for £50. It's my right innit.
I sincerely wish there was an opposite button of 'thanks' on here, cos some of the stuff posted is repugnant.“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0 -

Why not just post the information here? Silly to direct people to another site for no reason.
For those that cannot be bothered to mess about with going to another site, here is the first instalment:On the 21 June I ordered the £50 B&Q Argonaut Water Butt from the B&Q website www.diy.com.
I paid for the item and received email confirmation.
On Monday, I contacted the supplier, H20 Group to ask whether there were any more supplies. I was told that "B&Q are just selling off surplus stocks to make way for the 2010 season. No further supplies are available"
When told that B&Q were still claiming H20 will be stocking the item and contacting customers to arrange delivery H20 confirmed they would deal with the matter. See email here
On 24th June 09, B&Q sent the following letter to customers to confirm there was a stock issue.
On receipt of the letter on the 25th June, I emailed this letter to B&Q giving them 14 days to repay the 'loss of bargain.
The letter was deemed to be received on 25th June and if the matter is not resolved by 7th July, I will file a Small Claims notice.
Further updates to follow on this case.

I'll copy the letters over if anybody needs them.Gone ... or have I?0
