Could someone perhaps explain specificly why the loss of bargain should work here?

Presumably it's because B&Q took the money or are there other reasons too?

    thanks
  • Ohhh i hate it when the postie comes when i have gone to work. now I am on tenterhooks.
  • How does the loss of bargain thing work??? I would love to take them on after the evil woman who I spoke to earlier.

they could say that the price was obviously wrong, which could cause a problem with any claim

the letter states it was a stock issue. no pricing error mentioned as B&Q were getting rid of excess stock to make way for 2010

but they could still say, when it gets to court, that the price was obviously wrong - and a judge might possibly agree

I had to break up the link as I'm a new user and it won't let me post links yet. Just delete the space between the 'ht' and 'tp'

I will be taking this to the small claims court.

B&Q, you have been warned, sort your lousy website out!

Same letter here this morning- shame as I'd love to have found a major bargain on something the neighbours really wanted.

  • Thanks Barabrian 1 for the link to the other thread, I will definately be taking B&Q on too.

I have found an alternative tank which is very similar for £850.21 plus delivery £45 plus VAT £1,029.49 total. I don't have the original description from B&Q, just my order confirmation, will I need a description showing it comes with filter, pumps etc or will the order confirmation be enough?

    Any help much appreciated.
