Hi,
My boyfriend bought one of these...now I know what a lot of people will say about "re-selling" but that was his intention (although he didn't tell me of his "purchase" originally the !!!!!!!).
Anyway, I read this thread after telling him to cancel the order because it will be an unbelieveable size and we wouldn't have anywhere to put the thing!
Anyway, he rang after I'd said that his order was probably cancelled after I read this thread.
They did infact cancel the order and have now apparently refunded him, although unlike some of the people in this thread, he recieved his confirmation of the order but never recieved anything cancelling it.
What is the next step in this? Surely he should of been informed?Debt Free - Go Me0 -
FWIW, I personally wouldn't go for the jugular. Send them your grievance first, they might just make an offer. If it doesn't work and you wish to go the "full hog", then LBA giving up to 14 days to settle or small claims via Moneyclaim Online - https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp
It only cost £25 to make a claim, probably worth it for the possible "Loss of Bargain".
Keep everything sent recorded with a copy of everything.
If you are not prepared to go down the Moneyclaim Online route I wouldn't threaten with it.
Too early yet, but how about a mass claim via say a "no-win-no-fee" solicitor, it might just be worthwhile someone taking on a mass claim since they have already lost a similar case.
Food for thought and interesting.

I 100% agree, don't be rash. Time is not really a factor.

Well well well.
I spoken to some people in the know and there was no stock at the suppliers at all on Sun/Mon before this broke out... so B&Q are in deep trouble, You knowing took money out of peoples accounts and couldn't supply the goods (added interests yes?) blame it as website error... but why was it still for sale on the site if not stocked any more then? also why is paperwork still floating around saying that it can be purchased via B&Q (on suppliers site) and why did I get your Purchase Order information out of your customer services that you supplied to H2O to get the tanks sent?
Also the letter mentioned water "Butt" it was in fact a Rain Water Harvesting "Tank" 2 different things I think
So B&Q if you reading this letter, I didn't order a Butt(S) but in fact a underground water "TANK!" yet again you got it wrong, and I am still waiting for the delivery details of 2 water tanks that I ordered with you on Sunday Evening
As far as I am concerned, this is a problem with B&Q and their supplier, not my problem.. I expect what I paid for £105 for 2 Water Tanks as per the order. It's hard to find the balance when you are love.

I am so not patient enough to wait 10 mins.0

My initial thoughts are it may be worth telling them you want a comparable alternative.
Normally I would have thought this is a lost cause, but after the dishwasher case and seeing the T&C's I think there might be something here.

I've received my letter to say it was a "system error" and they didn't have the stock. Surely somebody managed to get the first one off? I have the web page as a screen shot if you need that to persue, TBeckett100.0
