Daily, can I confirm with you that you mean the Broadcom driver that is classed as optional here?
I cannot bring my laptop downstairs to the router. This is going to be my last attempt for any type of installing because I find stairs difficult and I've been up and down twice already.Getting there... A deal at a time. :T0 -
Yep, those are same 2 I installed. When I tried to put them on my usb it said they already exist.Getting there... A deal at a time. :T0

Can you confirm that you've actually installed them rather than simply extracted the contents of the compressed archive to a folder?0

I didn't do it in the way specified, because when you download the drivers, they are a number not a name.
I clicked each folder, it asked me to make a folder for it to be extracted to. I did so it extracted and then I clicked the wizard to install, and 1 or 2 of them made me restart afterwards.Getting there... A deal at a time. :T0 -
OK, back upstairs on my phone. I've tried to reinstall chipset, but now the following error comes up.
The file usbehci.sys on (unknown) is needed. Type the path where the file is located.Getting there... A deal at a time. :T0 -

LOL.
I have sp1a and when I start installing it, it says service pack 1 setup error, the following error occured while sp1 setup attempted to download the sp1 files from the internet: the server name or address could not be resolved.
So I need to be online to get the sp, but need the sp to get my connection back.
I just have to laugh! xGetting there... A deal at a time. :T0 -
Try this one instead. I'll look for the standalone SP1 package in the meantime.
[time passes...]
It's not there! There's a 1.9MB express installer, but that's useless without a working Internet connection. Looks like you may need to download SP2 as well...
Have you considered slipstreaming as a viable alternative?0
