Chopstick, I forgot to say: I passed the adult toy on to my OH to return. He's more persuasive than I am and his German's much better.

Sorry - I didn't realise the link didn't work. It does come up if you do a search for spring interior cotbed mattress on the ToysRUs site.

    a couple of questions:

    1) 18+4 weeks & wife not felt any movement from the baby yet? Is this normal?

    2) Bounty pack - heard a lot about this, but how do i get it? went to the website, and it said midwife will give it to you, but midwife hasn't.

    cheers.

    1) with a first baby yes, they only start to worry if she is still not feeling movement by 20-22 weeks. Her placenta may be at the front too which means that she will feel it later.

    2) your not missing out, they are a bit crap, but the link Jillie gave you will explain all.

I've had my shower and drank loads of juice but it's all going to my cankles  Lil lady is paying me back for annoying her last night (I was pushing her wee leg) by squeezing my bladder, owch!
  • Carla - here is a link to quiche recipe from the bbc website
I'm more of a throw it in kinda of cook, so I make a shortcrust pastry base (1/2 amount of butter to flour, into breadcrumbs - add cold water to bin) blind bake until it starts to firm up (I've already done this bit :j)
For the filling I'll cook off some bacon (but you can add whatever you fancy - we have bacon in the fridge which needs using up :)) and throw in with a pile of grated cheese - the stronger the better - and a mix of cream and eggs - prob a tub of cream and the 5 eggs I have left - some more cheese popped on top and pop in the oven until cooked through! Wow, Carla, you're doing so well!

I made my list and sat about, so far. I did ask OH to put the washing on, which I think should count...

but now my bag is packed and I am ready to go out and face the world. I'm having my mani/pedi this afternoon too. Hurrah! And although my wedding ring no longer fits on my sadly swollen finger, my slightly larger engagement ring does and so now I do not feel quite so naked.

I really fancy making quiche. When I am no longer working, I plan to experiment more. I cook most things from scratch, but get scared by things like pastry! OH is looking forward to me being on ML as he thinks I will turn into a domestic goddess! More fool him.

Well, decorators have finished for the day already! What an easy life. Back tomorrow to paper the feature walls. Texted a friend so going to meet her for lunch at a garden centre for a wee change. She sounds stressed as her daughter is starting the "terrible twos" apparently. Not meeting until 2pm so will do a few things around house first.

I have a wedding to go to in July, and ordered white linen trousers from Funmum. Need to send them back. What is the point in making white trousers so see through, that you can see the pockets through them?? It seems so stupid to me! What a waste of a delivery charge! Still on the look out for a wedding outfit. My ankles have been so swollen recently that I went off the idea of a dress.

Happy Anniversary Tink - hope you enjoy your evening out.
