Thanks guys! I think I'm still in the stage of feeling overly cautious about everything!! I will be extra careful when i go but I think I will go. Been chatting to a MW on the phone just now and had similar advice from her.
Oooh I can pay it all off now though - very exciting! Almost all there for the wedding in that case and then baby to look forward to! I can hardly contain my excitment at the moment!0 -
Ender - I first felt baby kicking around 20 weeks, and it's not stopped since!! I didn't really feel any flutters before this as other people seem to. Everyone is different so I wouldn't worry about it. Give it another couple of weeks.0

a couple of questions:
1) 18+4 weeks & wife not felt any movement from the baby yet? Is this normal?
yes this normal if its your 1st pregnancy. baby may still be moving but you may not feel anything till bout 20 wks. dont worry. everyone feels things moving at different stages. i only really felt strong movements at 20 wks. even having scan then baby was moving all around and i didnt feel anything
2) Bounty pack - heard a lot about this, but how do i get it? went to the website, and it said midwife will give it to you, but midwife hasn't.
you can register online at bounty.com. i got mine at my 1st scan appointment at the hospital

cheers.
hope this helps

Ok - I've been browsing sites this morning, so not sure where I saw the tip from another poster, but we got our cotbed mattress this morning half price! It's not in stock online, but if you call your local ToysRUs, they may still have it in stock - I know ours in Gloucester had quite a few.
A link is not working to the page, but if you do a search on ToysRUs website for spring interior cotbed mattress, you can see the mattress.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
The midwife should have given your wife the Bounty pack, but if not, just ask for it at the next appointment. I think you need the initial one to get the voucher to collect the second Bounty pack from Asda or Boots. Don't get too excited about it though!0

Morning all
Glam - I've just PMSL at your DH version of you sleeping only because I was told the same by DH recently and my first thought was well if I was on my back why didn't you wake me to turn on my side! Followed closely by the thought couldn't you have thrown a sheet or something over me before Greenpeace batter down the door and try and push me back out to sea
Boo - Congrats on team blue :T
mountainlioness - Good luck for your scan today
ender 4 - Re the bounty pack ask your midwife next time your at the hospital and she'll give you one no problems.
Right as for me I'm back from the hospital and the reason they were worried is that my protein and sugars are through the roof, they've found an infection which they want to give me antibiotics for but more importantly on the report they've found another infection of unknown significance, hence why they want to repeat the tests.
So tests repeated and full bloods done again and I should here back in the next few days as they said they're reluctant to give me antibiotics if I don't need them.
On a happier note it's my 9th wedding anniversary today so DH is taking me out for a meal this evening to the place where we had our wedding reception and I'm going to treat myself to a glass of champagne :jYou laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
ML - good luck with the scan today
Sarahjoanne - WOW! that resort looks lovely.
After a few lazy days, I am going to get back into making myself a job list for the day to get motivated. I have already unloaded dishwasher, put all towels/bedding back into the boiler cupboard and put away all the dry washing this morning, but still have to:
- [STRIKE]Dust Living room[/STRIKE]
- Vaccuum Living room/hallway/kitchen
- Unpack and repack hospital bag, (just to make sure I have everything!)
- [STRIKE]Clean kitchen worktops[/STRIKE]
- Decide what to make for tea and prepare tea things
- [STRIKE]Dust bedroom/Study/Nursery[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Write letter to cancel Barclaycard and cheque for outstanding balance[/STRIKE]
EDIT: fattybooboo - congrats on team blue!Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set

I forgot to say yesterday - congrats on team blue booboo! We have lots of boys, need some girls to even things out.
Tink - Happy Anniversary - enjoy your meal and champers
Adding to the lists of things to do, I just need to wipe over the bathroom, pop on a wash and finish the quiche for tea and decide what to have with it. OH did a full hoover of the house yesterday, straightened up in every room, wiped down the kitchen sides, put the pots away and mopped the kitchen floor! He's also told me to stop washing the dishes as that it whats giving me a achey back. He's a star :smileyhea0 -
Molly & NMS - I'm with you I think I'm going to need to do a list everyday to keep me motivated. So here we go for today:
- Hoover downstairs
- Put away dishes
- Log receipts into MS Money (over 1 1/2 months worth)
- Find something to wear for this evening
- Start listing things into turbo lister ready for the no-fee day tomorrow with ebay
- Make hospital bag list
- Send my sister TV unit measurements to see if she wants it!
Off for a muffin and a de-caf first and then I'm starting!You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Tink - glad it went well at the hospital - told you not to worry!
Last night I probably looked even worse cos it was so hot so I was probably nekkid - OH didn't even put the light on!
Triggles - That link says no such page. I mentioned getting mattress new from eBay. I'll take a look at that later - I'll search Babies r Us website.
Have left OH with an A5 2 page list - 1 page 'Things to do before Friday' (when his parents come) and 1 page 'Things to do before baby is born'. Told him even if he only does a couple of bits each day it will make a huge difference - there are some big jobs on the 2nd page like 'Sort out your clothes' - he has his wardrobe, half of mine (!) and a chest of drawers full of clothes he doesn't even wear. The stuff he does wear is either in wash, in dryer, in a pile or hanging over the end of the bed!
He's worse than me! Won't throw anything out!
Right 3 hour meeting now (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz) but at least day will go quick!
Can't believe how warm it is today and I'm stuck in work :rolleyes:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0
