Hi all, just popping over from the TTC thread to say I've just had an email from Allergy UK about a new spray from Sterimar which is perfectly safe to use during pregnancy and even on babies for hayfever! If you are lucky you might be able to get a sample from here:

Hello Ladies,
A serial lurker here, just popping on to say hello again. I am 17 weeks now and have just been to see my m/w and everything is progressing nicely. I don't know what i was expecting her to say but i am somewhat relieved to hear that everything is ok.
My life has completely changed in the past few months, our baby was planned, (happened quicker than expected though!) but we have now decided to get married!! on the 18th July!!!! We are going for cheap n cheerful, (I wouldn't do it any other way even if i had the time and the money!!)
SM - just to say that you should get down to the CAB p.d.q as I am pretty sure it is illegal to withold salary for any reason, let alone the fact that MP is a statutory entitlement. just google non payment of wages and you should get some idea. also there are some HR type forums open to all where you can post questions and quite often it is experts/employment lawyers who answer, so you are getting their advice for free. I (don't normally agree with the whole compensation culture, btw) would also be looking to pursue bank charges, stress, harassment, emotional torture at a vulnerable time etc etc. It just isn't on. Rant over!!0 -
Hi all,
Just looking for a bit of advice and reassurance. I was at the hospital last week and they found protein and sugar in my urine (I'm 37 1/2 weeks now). I've just had a call from one of the midwifes asking me to go up to the hospital first thing tomorrow as they've picked up and infection also and they want to repeat the tests.
She did mention the name of the infection but I must admit I can't remember much of what she said.
Should I be worried????You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
GLAM - I actually administer the NHS Pension Scheme too.
Yes you pay your 6.5% on what you receive (e.g. SMP)and the employer will pay on their normal amount (14% on your full pay). You will have to maintain for the 3 months unpaid (if you are taking the full 12 months off) which will be based on the SMP you were receiving just before you went unpaid. This means that you will not lose any service whilst on ML - you pay less for the same benefits.
(you benefit from tax and NI savings)
NMS - I'll see if I can find out anything re Stakeholder pensions (sorry I don't administer these), but there should be something in your terms and conditions.
Hi Karen - Thanks for this. The bit in bold - what do you mean by this?
I will be returning to work at the end of the 39 weeks.
ThanksA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Just emailed my boss about the pension! Ha they won't know about that!
I also pointed them to this FAQ sheet which is specifically for NHS

In that case you don't need to worry. Obviously you are entitled to 52 weeks off for ML so anything past the 39 weeks is unpaid (hence the comment that you put in bold) but as you will be going back before you stop getting paid it won't affect you.Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

tinkerbell - I'm sorry, I really have no ideas about these kind of thing, hopefully someone will be along shortly who might be able to put your mind at ease.
Faye - congrats on the wedding - oh exciting, it's only a few weeks away.
Karen - thanks for all your helpIt seems to suggest that my employer should continue to contribute, but I think I will still continue too!

Karen - thanks. I thought might be what it was!
Tink - can you remember anything about the type of infection?
We all know that Group Strep B needs to be treated ASAP but if it's not that then try not to worry (easier said than done )
can u remember roughly what it sounded like? I might be able to decipher it if you can!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
