Hi everyone :hello:
Have been reading from the old thread and this new one for a few weeks, but decided it is really time I stop hiding and say Hello!
I'm due my second baby now 21st Jan 2010 seems ages away but I know will fly in, have a 5yr old perfect angel and feel it's all so new again
So hoping to be around a bit more on here and getting a few tips on bargins to be had, hoping everyone and bumps are doing ok, and if anyone is like me and very sick I'm feeling your pain _pale_

Glam - yeah, my original PCT didn't do the lucozade and went straight for GTT on identified populations (DH's father has diabetes so I would have had to do it anyway), which makes sense. On a purely selfish note, at least this way I may just be spared the fasting and 2 bloods - I really don't know if I could put myself through that again knowingly.
Just tried the SMP calc - that is SCARY! Luckily I get some enhancement through my job until wk 18 but it's going to be tough.MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

I'm in the Local Gov Scheme so probably similar to NHS. So can I assume that if I return to work before my SMP runs out at 9 months (am planning 6) then there's nothing I need to do - employer will deduct the right % every month as appropriate and my contributions will be seamless?
Yes that's correct. You will just pay contributions on your SMP/OMP. See here http://www.lge.gov.uk/lge/aio/622025Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Right off now to play a really slow game of netball. I really just go for a chat and I think some people like to mark me as I generally just walk around the court as am too scared to run :rotfl:makes life easy for them.Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

What's a skycot?
It's like a bassinet, which hooks on to the front of the cabin wall, in front of the bulkhead seats, which can be used by young babies for long and medium haul flights. Never seen them on short haul flights though. They are supplied by the airline - no need to put on your shopping list!0 -
Hey ladies hope your all having a good day
Im really upset and hacked off at the moment i went to my antenatal this morning and not only are they not allowing a home birth but i cant even go into the midwife unit ive been told i have to go under the consultant whom i can't stand he is arrogant and wont listen to a word you say. I wouldnt mind but this has been the easiest pregnancy i have ever had i have no problems everything is where it should be and baby is a good size and very healthy. All this stems from my last pregnancy with DS who was a nightmare to carry and he came early this was all because i had placenta previa though and that is not the case this time. Ive done my home work im not stupid and if anything did show signs of not being right i would be the first one to insist i was to go to hospital. This just seems so unfair and i feel like i am being bullied :-(:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Hello All!!
Just been for my first MW visit - she didnt take any bloods :j as she said they'll do that at the first scan, was very relieved as OH couldn't come today but will be comng to the scan - I'm such a wimp when it comes to my own blood!!!
We are nowhere nearer working out my EDD, but we know it's somewhere between xmas and 6th February... She said it's best if i go for a scan sooner rather than later...they can always have a look and tell me to come back when bump has cooked a bit more.....
I now have small library to read through....which I hope will be a cure for my insomnia :rotfl:....
Still doesn't seem real...

Hi kamper congrats on your pregnancy firstly. The scan should be able to tell you as long as you are about 6 wks. You wont get to see much though if its very early it will look like a little bean but its still wonderful to know everything is ok and they are doing well :-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0
