No idea hun. What kind of cold is it?

I can see a problem if you have a temperature and bad cough (that cough will HURT after a c section) but if it's just a bit of a sniffle then I'd guess it would be fine. You have until Friday to get better, so plenty of fluids!

it's mainly sniffles but every so often i sneeze apart from that i feel fine

BAH! I ordered two pairs of baby leggings off ebay, from the photo on the listing, and the seller has in fact poached the photo off another seller and doesn't have one of the sets that I asked for.

I'm annoyed and tired, and I walked for unnecessary miles today because some muppet gave me stupidly useless directions. Hopefully that'll dislodge her and we'll get our Bastille Baby.

Goodness ladies, no posts for an hour and a half??? Is there a war on? lol

I saw midwife today to put my mind at rest over the bit of show yesterday and she said there are proteins in my urine. Something about a + but not really sure what that means. She did say not to worry because she thought it was a dodgy batch of sticks to test but that the previous ladies had been a line and mine was definitely a plus.

    Any idea what that means?

P.s. For those interested, I have had an email from Mothercare saying that they have logged my complaint and to get back in touch when I have received all my bits and am happy so that they can issue a partial refund. And that this is not indicative of their usual customer service and they hope this will not put me off buying from them in the future.

Well, I'm not interested in their usual service, I am interested in what I have received, and so far I am not impressed. There was not one single solitary sorry in the email or any indication that they really gave much of a !!!! if I was happy or not. And 4 attempts to get a delivery to arrive undamaged does not, to me, indicate a quality product. And even then, there is no guarantee that what they are sending will be right, even now!!!

Sorry, but thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

Somnium - Thank you very much :) well I think I am just being paraniod really, I had a little bit of brown spotting yesterday with a little bit of cramping and it got me worried, I dont have any spotting today, but had a little bit of cramping this morning, so I dont know if I am being parnaiod, or if there is something wrong? I did do a google search and it said spotting was normal, unless it turns red, but I think it said that cramping wasnt normal? (I dont think it helps that I watched Marley and Me on the way home on the plane and JA is pregnant in that and they go for there scan and there is no baby there :( it was very sad, so that kinda thing makes me worry too, I think I am a big worrier)

Yup watching M+M would def not help, I wont watch the film as I read the book a few years back and cried at that! As for brown spotting then yeah I understand, hand pink wee for a few days at the end of my 2ww (I had IVF) then a one off bleed the day before I found out I was PG so totally understand. Hang in there is all I can say oh and huggles xx

I need to stop whinging about stuff.

Someone in the other pregnant forum I frequent gave birth to a stillborn, 35 week baby girl over the weekend. She had some form of trisomy that was only picked up at a late scan.

Perspective, mine, especially when I'm so close myself. That poor woman.

Harvey, they measure things in your urine like this... a trace (tr), 1 + upto 4 +.

1+ of protein is note worthy but not serius, did they send the sample off or is she just leaving it to see how it is next time? It could well be a faulty batch. Or your sample could be contaminated by cervical mucus which is protein.

I'm feeling pants today. I'm still not sleeping well at night, and having nightmares and flashbacks back to the last birth, I feel very uncomfortable today with period type pains in my back and tummy, and the earlier posts in this thread about the "carp" woman who accept pain relief in labour have really upset me, and been praying on my mind since I read them. Added to which kids break up from school on Friday afternoon, and OH heads off to India for a week on Monday.
