I agree with Glam, it make sense to do the op whilst he is already there, hopefully the consultants will see it this way too! It would be great for you and hubby if you get this sorted before baby arrives, but even if you just get the ball rolling, I'#m sure it will be a big help! Hugs to you! x
Thanks NMS, just having a bad day. Yes you would think what you and glam have said would be right. Apparently the medical consultant has had it meeting with the surgeons, and they have agreed to surgery, but have said they may want to send him home again for a few weeks to make sure the inflamation has gone. This makes absolutely no sense, because they can get rid of the inflammation in hospital whilst on the steroid drips, but when they send him home with the steroid tablets its kicks right off again.
He is now ranting and raving and up in arms, and has demanded to see a surgical consultant. Has also had me printing off the "patients choice" constitution. He is not one to take anything lying down and i am quite sure he will do all he can to get what he wants, if not at wigan hospital, then i another one.:rolleyes:0 -
please don't talk about Spain!
I should be on a plane there right now! My sis is getting married over there Thursday and I couldn't afford flights (it was that or more for the baby fund) and with my hips and GD I don't think I would travel very well.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Aw Jenny, I know how your feeling. My job is being farmed out to our part-timer in Texas  3 other people in the office here and my MD is going to take on some of my web related bits (well, he is if he actually decides to come into the office, so I can show him what to do, within the next two weeks:rotfl:) It does make me wonder if they are actually going to want me back0

Sorry i know i keep thinking that we should put the money towards the baby fund but then we have never been abroad together before. Could always sneak u into my suitcase if we go :TDarling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j0 -
WM - Sending him home doesn't make sense to me. Send him home until the inflammation goes down, then he won't be classed as priority and a good chance he'll just end up being back there.:wall: At least your hubby is fighting his corner
Glam - congrats to your sis, shame you couldn't be there. Is she having a do when she gets home?
Lou - holidays? Sun? No I can't hear youJealous, Moi - VERY!!!

lou - it was good, except harder than I anticipated as I always wound up exhausted by just after lunch - but I went on a city break. Something on the beach will likely be much easier!!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Sis lives in NI and we are all spread out over the UK - everyone else is going to Spain but me! No do when they get back but I will go over to NI or she can come to me once baby is born.
Our family isn't particularly close with us all living so far apart - my grandad was saying he hadn't seen 2 of my sisters for 10 years and if I didn't make the effort to visit my mum and dad then I wouldn't see any of them either! They are mostly all over 18 but expect me to do all the running around!
Part of me wants to just say sod it and book the flights but I have no holidays left now anyway!
Just checked flights and they are WAY TOO much and my passport is out of date now as well!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Thanks SJ and NMS. No idea what I will do when I return - it will be so awkward but my boss is happy as she is getting more staff under her but also she's probably not thought about it that much because she is retiring Sept next year - I'm ending ML early so I can be here for the handover - she's a good boss really and already said she will approve me going to 4 day weeks on my return so dreading the new one alreadyMum to DD born Oct 2009

Firstly, wow, my new lancets are multi coloured! How cool! :rotfl:
Hypno, hope everything is fine and I'm just being paranoid!
Workinmummy, things sound a big bot pants right now, you moan away as much as you need too!
Changing unit dropped off at shop, built up and it is very sturdy once built. Tested using a DS2 (4 yr old). I've now got a baby bath! :rotfl: Shop is open today for take away but you can sit in with it if you like just for today. So we got lunch and messed about for an hour or so. Stuff is still being delivered, got 3 coffee tables today and they look lovely! these ones if you want a nosey they sit in a bit up the side of the shop with 3 brown leather sofas and 5 brown leather cubes. Nice and cosy, though we only have 1 sofa at the moment but you get the idea. And tables and chairs at the front, open plan kitchen. Rip off of costa but with better foodI'm all proud! Oh and I also got to spend time with DH who was in there on his break
Sore now because of the driving.
Anyone know anything about evening primrose oil for softening the cervix? Just got some capsules at the chemist and going to google what dose to take (and how often I can shove em up there) :rotfl:0
