TIA - I am so fed up of jabbing myself every day are you?!
Insulin in the morning then 3 sugar checks - good job I've not got a needle phobia!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
I get angry at myself for not being able to say what I feel to him!!
Becster, I can't give you any advice as Im abit of a mess at the mo,and can't help myself nevermind anyone else but these guys will have advice for you, there fab.
Jillie, wow great news, we could do with that, who is your mortgage with if you don't mind me asking? Do they all provide this?love my little man he is amazing :j0 -
our mortgage is with Northern Rock. The extra £25 is for the rest of our fixed term which is 3 years. so its costing an extra £900 over all but it gives us £3000 over 6 months
think cos its northern rock thats why we may get it but there would be no harm in trying your own mortgage company. i'd never heard of it till yesterday.
i'm fine. still struggle with heartburn and i do feel a lot more tired now as well. cant believe next week we'll be 30 weeks!!! feel very unprepared so in august will be doing a big shop to get lots of things.
still need to get bedding, cot, clothes, more nappies, more wipes
paint our bedroom, sitting room and kitchen. (mum said her and sis will do these if need be when they are here)
sis made me laugh before. lots of mum's friends (and mine) have been asking them when we will be visiting with baby. and to prepare for the 'royal' visit, mum has been given a moses basket, a cot and a high chair and been told anything else we may need when we visit can be sorted... wish they all lived over here we'd be sorted!! lol!!
keep reminding sis we'll be over at St Patricks so baby can see their first parade!! i think she harbours the thought we may go at xmas but its too soon and hubby only gets 1 or 2 days off cos he works like me at trafford center'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Glam, I have 3 test strips left, so once more tonight, morning and night tomorrow and collect my prescription asap monday morning.
My fingers are starting to hurt and you can see where I have been jabbing them now. Wasted loads of test strips because I either bleed loads or hardly any at all. But I found that leaving the needle in/on my skin after I jab it for a few seconds rather than pulling it away instantly helps me get more blood.
What I am fed up with is craving sweet food when I am tired. My body reacts to tiredness by demanding sugar, but of course thats bad and will make me feel worse. Having to drink coffee now as I'm so tired I'm dizzy!0 -
mind you thinking bout it, lots of the banks are being told to help customers who may potentially get into problems by offering mortgage breaks etc so i think i would definitely ring any mortgage provider to check this out.
i had thought initially we would have to swap to a variable rate to get the mortgage costs down but i much prefer this.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Thanks Jillie -we mikght look into that.
I've got heartburn right now and find it's worse at night, yesterday I really thought I was going to be sick!
I know almost 30 weeks :jit's crazy really. We still have loads to do and during cuddles this morning I told OH we needed to get our backsides into gear if baby going to be coming early so he has agreed to try and get some stuff done whilst he's off. At the moment, he's mainly applying for jobs and stuff.
Tia - the strips come in boxes of 100 so should last when you get them! My fingers are sore too and sometimes I don't get enough and others too much - it's such a faff!
I've found I'm more tired as well. Did they tell you to test your blood before driving long distance?

heartburn at night time is awful. every night just as i get comfy in bed get that awful burning sensation...have a bottle of gaviscon by bed when its really bad but try not to take too much.
i need to give hubby a kick up the backside to get things done round the house. am gonna work on him tonight and tomorrow.
ooh baby moving around really pushing against the top of my womb.. little swine lol!!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

Thanks Glam you are the fountain of all knowledge! No he's not on anti viral GP didnt give DS anything. She wasn't much cop so if it gets worse then i'll contact out of hours. Hopefully it'll be a 24 hour thing. fingers crossed.
I'm sick of hearing about this swine flu now though.
Thanks Tia and Tara for your thoughts.
I am soooo fed up today now, feeling tension in the family, must be the build up to the arrival but anyhow im not liking it!

I agree! Last night (as it was his birthday ) we decided to try with me on straddled on top but he said it felt too weird so we went back to spoons!
He doesn't seem to realise that I'm too tired and uncomfortable at the moment. Is it sad that I can't wait for the 6 weeks after the birth?!!!
Suzy - no probs. Different places are doing things differently so it is hard to keep up with it all but if it carries on just ring OOHA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
