My last day is a week on tuesday:T - it's a funny day to leave on but I have to take my remaining annual leave before my ML as you can't carry them over. I can't wait to go cause I have quite bad sciatica and alot of pelvis pain and am getting fed-up of being up and down fetching things for people who are perfectly able to get them themselves.
Speaking of things smelling horrible in pregnancy, I found some scholl shoe spray under my sink this morning and thought I'd have a go.....OMG  I was retching all over the place and it took me ages to get rid of the taste of it from the back of my throat! I can still smell it after the school run and think I'll have to open some windows. I wouldn't mind but my shoes didn't even smell in the first place!
Plug-ins are horrible too at the moment!
Got a Mamas and Papas moses basket and stand yesterday for £11.50 so was well pleased with that, it's in great condition and a real bargain.
My mum keeps pushing me to look in the paper for a pram (not because she really wants me to get a pram as she's not really that interested, it just seems she is fixed on me not spending much money on this baby). Some of the adverts in the paper do sound OK but I really don't fancy arranging visits to people's houses only to find a heap of trash that they have used as a skip on wheels and having to make my excuses and leave. The pram I do buy, unless I can have a good look first without going to numerous random people's houses, will be brand new. The rest of it, I don't mind as long as it's clean.
Having said that I'm finding it really difficult to choose a pram at all as there really aren't any places around here you can go and have a look them. It's a big purchase really for you not to be able to see it first. Whatever it will be it will have to fit in the back of a Micra!
Good luck SS - hope things start happening soon for you and you get some relief from your suffering!
Skinty - that's awful about the hedges - I would be so mad. I can't stand not having my privacy so I feel for you. I used to hate our back garden at my old house as the fences were really low and any quick trip out in my jammas to call the cat or put something in the bin turned into a social occasion where I'd be stuck getting "chatted" at by a neighbour!
BTW what do other people do for relieving restless leg syndrome? It's driving me nuts - it's not just my legs now though, it's my whole body and especially my head! If I'm sitting or lying down of an evening it feels like my skin is crawling, not itching though, it's got so bad some nights that I've even developed a head tick! I don't think it's anything serious and I'm pretty sure there isn't much you can do about it but it's driving me insane! x0 -

I'll see what I can do over the weekend - it's his Birthday today so he won't be impressed if I'm on here again later!
I noticed earlier that the area around my belly button scar has gone really red, I think it's where it's being stretched.
Now, I know he's head down, I can identify body parts! It's fun!
I was stood next to OH yesterday (he was sitting) so bump was in line with his head - I was rubbing bump against his shoulders and suddenly he went 'urgh, what was that?' He could see my belly rippling out the corner of his eye - it freaked him out a bit!
Fidget - try the car boots. I've seen some lovely prams in really good condition for between £20 and £50 - saves traipsing round people's houses.
I've not got RLS (restless legs) but get awful cramp some nights - I hate cramp it's the worst pain ever!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Fidget- Restless legs can be caused by iron defiency so try and up your iron and also a warm bath before bed helps, i've been getting them for weeks now and it is horrible! drives me absolutely mad so you have my sympathies!0

Morning, just back from church as that's where school hold their assemblies. Was Celebration Worship and both Ben and Erin had 2 presentations each. Also had their reports yersterday and following on from the discussion the other day about being an end of year child Ben is July born and boys are further behind than girls so I've been very worried as 6mths ago he was not doing very well. Well I'm very proud to say that with extra help at home he is now Mr Average and up with the older kids who started in September, yeah!!! He has worked so hard bless him, I didn't want him on the low achievers table in the new class. Erin has been moved up to the top class as she's done so well so will be working with the yr6's even though she's a yr5. All in all been a good 24hrs.
MW due in next couple hours so will find out if there's been any change.
Skinty, hope you give the council hell!!!
Glam, how are you feeling today? X Apart from cramp.Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

I'm certain there are some really good bargains out there although the ones I've seen at car boots have been pretty old and musty looking (but then I can't usually get there at a decent time as DD's dad picks her up Sun morning so that might be something to do with it).
I'm stuck on this one though really as although I'm not keen to spend anywhere near £500 new, I don't want to buy a second hand one then end up replacing it because the chassis is warped through carrying too much weight or something like that. I'm not convinced many prams have that long a shelf life as they do take some bashing. I will continue to keep a lookout though as the bargainhunter in me may yet win over the perfectionist in me.0 -
Before I go catch up, my news.
Baby will be here in 4 weeks! :j:eek:
BP is up a bit but not too bad, only a tr protien and glucose, baby has a good heart rate and I have a prescription for methyldopa to see if they are better than labitalol, but I have been warned it could be the same. Collect it tomorrow sometime.
.
i take methyldopa. i've had no sode affects at all. depsite GP saying it was the one that was best for baby but worse for me. i hope it works for you in a similar way.harley - if you've had the letter it's probably already in the bank, mine was.
I know I will be queue jumping - still classing myself as part of the 22nd crew although Jillie said she too would probably go at 38 weeks!
I better do tea now - been putting it off cos I;ve got Heartburn and feel sick!
i got my letter few days after it was in my account!! :j
i will go at 38 weeks if BP rises. would prefer not to as mil and fil will be on holidays then and as my mum is in ireland would be a stretch for her to get here on time. (would prefer my mum to be here)
heartburn easing during the day and now getting it when i go to bed!!
car in for MOT this week. failed. needs brake pads, washer motor and something doing to a headlight.:eek::eek: not what we needed to hear!!
still here Tara??'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Some people have no people skills -
I agree! I had lunch with a friend yesterday who was a GP in her former life, and was talking about organising a party for her little girl in a few weeks time, as they are moving house shortly. Initially she was excited, but later she said that she thought that there was no way on earth I was well enough to take that on at the moment . An hour later, I went to pick my DS up from school, and one of the mums at the school gate told me I looked terrible and she thought there was no way I would go full term :eek::eek:.
Anyone got any recommendations for a good face cream :rotfl:0 -

And even then it is up the own with my mum on a Sat afternoon as the 3 of us and the kids all go for lunch together and then a spot of shopping !! So not too much time spent talking
You will all probably find me really strange then that i see mum, dad and sisters pretty much every day!!? :S i find it really weird if i dont see them one day during the week!!I've not got RLS (restless legs) but get awful cramp some nights - I hate cramp it's the worst pain ever!

OH treated me to a 1/2 pint of guinness (first alcohol during pregnancy) as its apparently good for pregnnant women due to the amount of iron in!! had some blackcurrant in too and i quite enjoyd it. think i made it last about 3 hours!! OH wa slightly intoxicated, altho i didnt notice until we had came home and went to bed. we broke the record of our abstinence - only 3weeks this time. lol, although i really do feel too pregnant to be doing tht kina thing.my belly got in the way SOOOOOO much. was gettin very annoyed at the time. lol
