I never made it to the pamper eve because OH never got home from work early enough  My friend goes to westfield but I don't know what its like - hope its fun for you
Went to pamper session last night. There were about 14 pregnant ladies there and two beauticians, so you had to wait your turn. Could have a foot and leg massage, manicure or neck and shoulder massage, manicure table was already in use, so i have a foot massage. Was fab!:D. Then went into another room, lied on the floor on a mat and did some relaxation whilst litening to a CD. On the way out was given a pamper pack, containing 7 or 8 differen little bottles of massage oil, stretch mark oil, toner, moisturiser, shower gel, bath oil and flannel etc. Will be great for now or to take into hospital.
So advise all ladies to checkout local surestart centres, i was well impressed and whats more, what can be more MSE than being FREE. Plus its a bit of me time and a major stress reliever. Can't wait for the one next month.0 -
sounds like you had a great night workingmummy.
must check the nearest surestart and see if they offer anything similar.
raining really heavy here but still far too warm!!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
ooohh workingmummy, that sounds like heaven!!! My sister is a qualified beauty therapist who can do all of the above things you mentioned, but trying to tie her down to give me some attention is harder than you would think!!! im jealous. would love a foot massage. OH has a severe dislike for feet - i cant even put my feet on his knee while lying on the sofa, so cant persuade him to give me one either!!!!Carla-Farla!!

Me too. I managed to get one out of my OH last week but it lasted all of three minutes and then he got restless and wandered off.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

its wick, isnt it SS!!
although, have just had a look at my feet, and i dont really blame him at the minute - full of hard skin at the mo from wearing flipflops constantly for the past few weeks. would love one of those foot spa things - but we cant use them while pregnant....is that right!??Carla-Farla!!

This is WHY we need the foot massages!!!
Mine are even worse than they were before last week's pedicure from hell, all scabby and still all dry skin and flaky. I can't reach them to improve them, or I'd be doing the lotion and table salt bit on them myself. I wonder if I could get him to do that?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

NMS & Fidget & Carla - bump bands are brilliant, aren't they! Got these 3 from New Look online for £13.50 inc delivery http://www.newlook.co.uk/1671934/167193499/ProductDetails.aspx (had been looking on ebay but kept getting outbid!). Discovered yesterday that Peacocks do maternity clothes too - not a vast selection but so cheap, got two long ruched sided t-shirts for £8. Their sizing appeared to be awkward tho - they do 6/8, 10/12 and then 14/16 where as I am 12 sometimes 14 (esp bottom half now!) but the 10/12's are fine, even with my ever growing DD assets!
Think little one has discovered his right hook today - keep getting these pointy little spkiy niggles!
5 months exactly til d day  seems to be coming round quickly!0 -
