Oh, does anyone know about working self employed whilst on ML/SMP? I'm only talking about mystery shopping, nothing extravagant, but I'm not liking the idea of giving up the free food etc.

Can only comment that thats a lovely dress nancat. Wouldn't like to say really. If it were me, pre-pregnancy 8, i'd go for the 10. But not sure for anyone else. Also if you look on littlewoods, there is a really nice coral maxi dress on there, in the maternity section. This one. They have it in a size 8. Maybe not quite as pretty as the one from principles, but i keep longing after it and don't really have any need to buy it, only a want. If you get what i mean.

Nancmat Don't know if you actually placed an order for a dress yesterday. But the littlewoods dress has now been reduced to £25.

    Also, sorry about your cat.

I think you are not supposed to work while you're on them. I know you can't with MA.

And how come you get free food with MS? I only ever get asked to visit banks!

Wow - that's some impressive weight gain. Glad he's doing well though! Could the little but often be due to the heat???

ETA - Skinty - I seem to be able to pick up a few restaurants visits from RE from time to time and nice pizza places from TNS - I'm going to miss em - it's the only time we really eat out :( Oh and sandwiches (which is what I'm having for lunch today :D)
I must admit I avoid the banks!

    NMS this might help
    Working for another employer

If you work for another employer (employer B) before the birth you can still get SMP from the employer (employer A) who is paying your SMP. If you work after the birth for employer B and you were not working for employer B in the 15 th week before your baby was due, your SMP from employer A will stop on the Saturday before you start work. However, if you worked for employer B in the 15 th week before your baby was due, you may work for employer B without affecting your SMP from employer A.
You can do self employed or voluntary work without any loss of SMP. During unpaid maternity leave, you can work for another employer unless there is a clause in your contract limiting any other work.

find it on a website ..

yer it is the heat when it cools down hes quite happy to have milk every 3-4 hours x
