ok, left it too long to get food, got the sweats and shakes!
hmmmm, tesco deli oat topped wholemeal rolls have 3.3g sugar per roll.... thats bad isnt it?0 -
well, I've not had my lunch, so I'm away to have an oat topped brown roll with pickle and cheese.
Is sultana bran and fruit and fibre out?
And now moved on from BH to bad period pains.... owch!
She said to me that Fruit and Fibre was out! She basically said the only cereal I could have was porridge . Check out the label and see how much carbs of which are sugar are in there! Oats have 1.1g which is very good.
I plan to make some fruit flapjacks for snacks (OH insists on chocolate ones!) and eat mainly meat and veg. Last night I had chicken, new pots and veg and BM was 5.1 an hour later which is perfect - I can't understand how they are so high today
I'm drinking sparkling water with a dash of lime cordial which has nothing in it so is fine - I can't just drink water all the time!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -

Yep MM, saw the pics, he is mega cute!
Aw Glam - the food sounds really difficult to get your head around. I'm sure you'll get used to it soon. I can't believe you haven't been able to open your windows in this weather. How have you coped?Karen, I know, thats 3 lots theyve taken off me up to now!! If they think Im going for blood taking at 28 weeks they can think again!!
I had bloods taken at 28 weeks and once again - maybe twice - I can't remember. This may be a silly question, but as I am intending to breast feed (fingers crossed as it will be cheaper) should I bother to get any sterilisers/bottles etc. or should I just leave it and if I need to bottle feed worry about it then?
Also will I do much expressing. I was going to get a manual pump just in case but if I do that will I need the sterilisers/ bottles etc. why would I be expressing - would it be because I was too lazy and wanted DH to feed baby instead?
Sorry for my stupidity - hopefully by the time bump arrives I will have some idea what is going on
I bought a steriliser that came with bottles when it was in the Asda baby event. I too plan to breastfeed but it was a bargain, and I think I will express to allow hubby to do some night/early morning feeds. I know he loves this idea, and it will give him a chance to bond with bubs too!
I haven't got a pump yet, still holding out to see how I take to BF and how much/long I'll use it. I figure I wont need it straight away, so I'll be able to pop out and buy one when I have a better idea.0 -
Thanks NMS and Jennynoo.
If I see something that is a bargain it might be worth me picking it up otherwise I will wait. I just seem to be in a buying mood but not really sure what to buy. I might end up buying something that just isn't worthwhile! I have already sorted out getting some secondhand bits from friends/family but I keep seeing these bits at reasonable prices and have to remind myself I will get them for free!!Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Um, not sure! They told me brown bread was OK so I would have thought it was OK.
Another thing she said was tomato based food was good but not to use cheap tomato based sauces. Home-made chilli and bolgnanese is fine or a good sauce like RAGU. KETCHUP is out! Far too much sugar in it.
Oh and takeaways are laden with Salt so they use loads of Sugar to counter it so takeaways are also out!
I guess it depends how far you want to take it - all I know is that I don't want to end up on Insulin or having a premature baby so am doing everything I can to avoid it happening. Even if it means living on stuff I hate.
Oh and keep hydrated! Very importantmoney_maker wrote: »tia, when did you get the diabeties result ?? You and Glam can start a wee club !!
I know, we'll have to keep each other sane while everyone else talks about goodies!!
I'm going to go crazy - I have been on the phone trying to get through to a very important centre and I've been on hold for over an hour!
