Sorry ladies, had to go and watch NCIS's Tony to take my mind of the nasties. I have now convinced myself that bubs has a small pointy head and no shoulders so the birth should be a breeze. lol.

Off to bed now as this is really late for me and I have to concentrate tomorrow as I am briefing my new boss on our current work load.

Have a lovely cool night all, lets hope we wake up to rain tomorrow.

Morning all. Can't believe I amm first on after midnight! Where are all you insomniacs who usually post during the night? And where is Sugar? You are normally on by now!

Hoping that it's a little bit less humid today. Have a good day everyone. x

    Morning Fitzio :)

I slept till 9am! It's already about 28 degrees here, I woke up and the bed was empty. I couldn't figure out why until I realised I was seeing parts of the room I don't normally see when I wake up, and that my new perspective was because I was lying across the middle of the bed. Apparently I was just chasing the cool patches - found OH on the sofa :(

Today I have to venture outside twice. First, I need to find an apotheke that's recommended by my midwife, she has a special nipple cream made up there and told me to buy it ahead of time because it prevents the cracking, and then another pregnant friend and I are going swimming. I'm a bit self-conscious because the friend's only about 10 weeks and very athletic, whereas I am 9 months pregnant and covered in cellulite where I'm not swollen, but the weightlessness in the water will no doubt help cure my angst.

two of my son's close freinds have developed chicken pox one was last week and one has been comfirmed this morning. Ds hasn't had it yet. He has 2 spots on his back but they don't look like pox to me. i was told they are like blisters. I have had it but is the baby at risk at all if he does get it? I am not taking him to the docs just yet untill he gets any more.

It is chucking it down here with loads of thunder and lighting. It's not cooling it down much yet though.

its been raining all monring -- hopefully it brightens up a bit later but am not putting any money on it. forecast was for rain all weekend. yuk.
    have stuff to do today:
    - collect duplicate matB1 form & healthy start form from docs
    - post mat allowance form and healthy start form
    - visit a couple floor shops and choose the cheapest and order wooden floor for nursery
    - order furniture from argos
    - order cotbed mattress from mothercare

think thats it. obviosuly add on the usual cleaning and dinner making....!!! Think its gonna be lasagne and salad tonight.

how far on are you elasti, i have forgotten!? my dd got chicken pox when i was about 24/5 weeks pregnant and everything was ok because i was out of the 1st trimester (if i remember correctly) and because i had them when i was younger aswell. maybe better to phone doctors and even ask the receptionist to be on the safe side!!

Got my ebay bump band in the post and it's pretty good - I've been able to resurrect a denim skirt that I had grown out of at the tummy. I have a couple of summer dresses but even though theyre the coolest thing in this weather I always chicken out of wearing them for work as I convince myself I look like a lampshade! Now at least I can wear a skirt.

My ebay maternity jeans arrived too which look ok but I certainly won't be wearing them in this weather. Instead of there being a jersey panel the actual denim goes right up over the bump - the thought of that in this heat makes me feel faint!

Now waiting for my pop-up travel cot (wondering what this is going to be like as it was too good a bargain!) and a monsoon cardie for Emma to wear to her first wedding.

OH went out for a meal with work last night. I had fallen asleep on the couch and instead of waking me he just went straight up to bed (must've been a bit worse for wear). I woke up at 3.30am and went up to bed and there he was snoring, naked and stretched out all tangled up in the clothes I had spent the day ironing that had been neatly folded on the bed  My own fault I know, I had forgotten to put it away with me falling asleep. I'm sure OH had he been sober would have moved it
