I'm just writing out my story now. I'll try make it brief but it seems to be getting rather long.

Has any one tried bought an arms reach co sleeper? I borrowed a moses basket from a friend when i had ds and because i had a section i found it quite hard to get him out of it to feed in the night. Our bed is quite high, i am very small lol bad choice of bed there! So i had to jump out of bed and climb back in with ds in my arms. All very arkward and painful for me. So i thought they sounded good but they are american and hard to find over here. There is some on ebay but mostly are collection only and non have been near and they are going for quite a bit of money second hand. If i am going to spend that much i would rather it be new.

Are they worth the money or not?

    Hi
I looked at one of those and you can get it over here http://www.armsreach.co.uk/products.asp and http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_42+1279_10751_-1_14562_50033_10001_14562 but we decided to go with something less plastic in the end as we saw it at the Baby Show and it was all plastic with a fabric cover, which while great if you want to take it other places (it folds up into a bag) didn;t feel very special to us.

    We were getting this http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10052&catalogId=11051&productId=120225
but at the time it was out of stock so we got the Cosatto Olivia instead http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/nursery-furniture/cosatto-olivia-bedside-cot/ which is virtually the same, and I managed to get a display model for £130.

I also considered this http://www.expressyourselfmums.co.uk/details2.asp/ProductID/237/sid/18/bedside-crib.htm but as it is a crib the baby will grow out of it fairly quickly.

And this http://www.bednest.com/index.php but we didn;t like the design plus again it is small.

There was also this one http://www.babyworld.co.uk/information/products/product_tests/cot/cot_full.asp#brio
    which looked nice.

    Hope that helps.

Congrats and welcome to Storm. I had no morning sickness, so no advice really other than it seems to be different for everyone.

Hi Jvic! Good to hear from you - was really hoping everything had gone ok with the section and was worried when we hadn't heard from you! Congrats on the birth of baby Tomos.

Nipping out to meet a friend for lunch just now. Needing cheered up as having a rubbish day too, much like the rest of you! Will finish catching up and post again after lunch!

OK girls, I need some help. After losing all my birth plan notes I've had to start again, and want to check if I've forgotten anything.

These are the headings I've got in it (won;t bore you with details unless someone specifically wants them):
    1. Atmosphere
    2. Positions
    3. Instructions for midwife
    4. Instructions for doula
    5. Pain relief
    6. Episiotomy
    7. at crowning
    8. Third stage
    9. Immediately at birth
    10. Vitamin K
    11. General stuff
    12. In case of hospital transfer
    13. in case of C-section
    14. If unexpected breech
    15. In case of dire emergency
Do you think that covers it all? Is there anything I've missed off? As you know, I'm having a home birth so mine is probably a bit different to hospital ones as I've had to include instructions for OH on how to do the room for me, and as I'm having a doula I've had to make clear what I consider to be her responsibility and what I think is OH's (ie what he wants to do).

Also, can anyone advise on the best type of waterproofing? Are those bedsheets with backing good? Or would I be better off with something like tarpaulin? I am probably going to do it on the living room carpet so I'd like it to be comfy and wondered about those waterproof sheets but don;t want to risk staining the carpet!

Jvic - Congratulations on the birth of Tomos (Fab name BTW!) I am looking forward to reading your birth story.

skinty - some ladies on here suggested using cheap shower curtains on the floor when having a home birth, maybe putting something a bit more comfy on top (ie the maternity mats)

EDIT: Your birth plan looks like it covers everything. I had a part where I put that I want to breastfeed ASAP after birth and would like breastfeeding support if I struggle with it, but I am having a hospital birth though.
