Had 16 week appointment with my MW today. Was first time i've met this one & she seems nice. She said all was perfect with me & baby. Hearing the heartbeat was brilliant.
Everything seems to be going too well so far! Didn't have any morning sickness and haven't really been too tired. Haven't had any cravings. Plus i've gone up a couple of bra sizes and have got a proper baby bump now, but have still only put 1lb on in total so i seem to be losing it from my bum & thighs (which is nice!)

wow Maz - 1lb! God, I've put on loads!!
The heartbeat is amazing isn't it?!

Just found out MIL also had gestational diabetes and was told OH would be a 10lb'er - he was 5lb! So a bit reassuring!

I don't know what's happening! I'm eating more fruit & veg but more junk too, and i'm doing much less exercise. And i do have a proper baby bump now so the only reason i can come up with is that i'm losing the weight elsewhere. OH says my bums smaller but i think it just looks it cos my belly's bigger. And there's no reason i should be losing any weight anywhere. Oh well, guess i can't complain!

Glam - well done on the job, sounds to me like your favouring the new job. Bummer about the GD I hope its not too awkward for you to control.

Not much happening here, as with everyone else its damn hot and uncomfy, especially at work. One bonus is the heat seems to make me eat better. Reading about money matters is making mre feel a little down as I dont think I'm going to be able to have any great time off after bubs is born, not without awful money struggles. I should be grateful though as my employer pays more than the recommended, so have 10 wks at full pay then onto smp. I'm only alowed to carry 6/7 days hol through to next year and as the new financial year will be starting as baby is arriving dont want to take it all in one lump and have nothing left for the rest of the year. really will have to see what we can save between now and then, atm savings total very little and need to buy babys stuff still...eek!

Also, we've been looking at prams. Any opinions/ideas on pram vs pushchair vs travel system etc? ones that come with car seat or carry cot?
i really don't know what type we need to look at & seem to get more confused the more i look. want it suitable from birth obviously but ideally for as long as possible. no set budget but want best value for money. and suitable for most situations, cos we'll be taking it places in the car but i'll be using it on public transport too.

    xx
