Sorry to hear about the GD. But wow on the job. Annoying about the SMP but if they want you to start sooner could you not speak to them about coming to some sort of arrangement. If you do it before excepting the job maybe they will use it to try to sweeten the deal. Though if you will not be any worse off then maybe you don't want to start off by being too demanding.

Please send that rain to Somerset asap. I am absolutely melting. I HATE this stupid weather at the best of times and 6 months pregnant isn't making it any more appealing. He he, I've just wiped my brow with some kitchen roll and noticed that there are pictures of snowmen on it...if only.
I'm fairly swollen too if it's any help. just legs and arms as far as I can tell. If you are still concerned tomorrow or it gets any worse later it might be worth a quick phone call to midwife. Depends how bad it looks.
xxxxxCross Stitch Challenge member 11 - May challenge well under way
Very proud mummy to Gorgeous baby girl - 29/09/09 :j
Thanks to all who directed me to Quidco - £289.30 since Nov 09 :beer:0 -
TBH - the benefits far outweigh the 6 weeks at 90%
I think that bit says alot.
If you can survive going straight onto the £123 a week (and cos it MA not SMP you wouldn't have any deductions) and you know the benefits will be there when you actually return to work... and you will be happier in the long run0 -

Not on my wages, I'm a learning support assistant. Tons of responsibility, reward is personal not financial unfortunatley. :rolleyes:Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
I bet they will be surprised! I wouldn't think that many places would take on a pregnant lady knowingly, so you clearly impressed them!!0

Thanks Harley. When I get home, the swelling does go down if I lie on the settee all night with legs up, but feel like I am being lazy and getting nothing done. I mentioned it to midwife on Monday, and she wasn't concerned, and neither was I. It does seem to have gotten worse the past 2 days though. Hubby thought my thighs were swollen, but I think they are actually just fatter!0 -
There is some programme on BBC1 about real life rescues - it's got a home delivery of twins on it if anyone is interested.0

TBH I think the only reason they offered me the promotion was because they didn't want me to look elsewhere whilst on ML. This sums my employer up though - promotion = no extra salary, more responibility and on the organisational chart I've been moved sideways not up!!
Right going to make a ham omelette - I'm stuck now as to what I should eat! Good job I'm seeing MW in the morning!!!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Thats why I put dep. on salary
TBH I don't think we could survive without that 6 week buffer, but saying that hubby will be on SPP for 2 of thos weeks, so only really 4 weeks
Unfortunatelty, my salary at the end of each month is the only thing that keeps me going there, my job def. isn't rewarding.0 -
Hi everyone,
Just wondering if i can excuse my laziness this evening. Been home about 2 hours & have a to do list as long as my arm.
Have done nothing on my to do list as yet, have just spent the last 2 hours watching tennis and looking on the internet. However, i have just applied and got myself a new credit card with 16 months 0% on balance transfers, saving me about £25 a month on interest. So can i argue that doing a 2 minute job but saving myself possibly £100s is better than doing my million-and-one things that really need doing but are just too boring?!?! x:j Very proud mummy to Evie Mae born 26/12/09 :jAims for 2010 - be a good mummy, lose (some) weight, clear (some) debts, be happy0 -
