I don't think I'll have any hols to use up as Im having to put in a few days hols a week to bump my wage up to be able to qualify for SMP, as I only work part time on crappy minimum wage and hours have been cut abit lately.
love my little man he is amazing :j

Helen - I am sure you can change it. Even if you left it too late, if you aren't fit enough, your doctor would sign you off I am sure.

Elastigirl - Try not to be stressed! Ignore your in laws, and just concern yourself with your own baby - boy or girl! If you can't manage to visit them, wait until you have had the baby before meeting up, then at least you won't have to suffer 2 visits.

Right, off out to Asda for shopping. Roast beef is cooked and sliced, second load of washing is on.

Thinking of batch cooking before pregnancy, can I freeze my cooked roast beef in gravy, or would I be better just freezing the cooked meat on its own? If no-one knows, i'll pop over to OS board.

Back in an hour or so!

BTW - I have some vouchers for Asda (maybe from Bounty pack but not sure, and they are use by end of June, so just a reminder in case anyone else has them!!)

Elastigirl, just wait for them to bring the baby to you. They'll be coming anyway and you can always blame pregnancy for being unable to travel that far.

Don't stress about it. In-laws can be nightmarish, but these ones live far away.

Although Im on a crap wage I can't fault my boss, she's lovely and is doing all she can to help me physically and financially. Also the boss above her is nice too,he's told me not to worry,he will sort it so I get my SMP,its not my fault the company is cutting our hours down cos there greedy for profit!
If I have any hols left after the rest of the smp qualifying average wage thing is over..Im half way into it I think, then I will use them up in the school summer hols so I can be at home with the kids and not be paying half my wage out on childcare! Work have told me they will allow me to go up to around 20days debt for holidays cos you still accrue holidays while on ML but youre not there obviously so can't use them!

I think Sainsburys have a third off all baby toiletries and nappies at the moment. No idea if there are any really good offers, but will have a look tomorrow as there is one next to my work.

Just remembered to say, if you get any money off coupons for things you won't necessarily buy, you can still use them at Tesco to get the money off your usual shopping, as long as Tesco sell the item. I used quite a few yesterday on a big shop. It ends up saving a good few pounds a week which soon adds up. I try and then put the money saved aside- at the moment it goes into my gorgeous baby fund terrimundi.
