Hi all, any news on Tara!?
I was lurking abit last night and saw that we are welcoming back Evans Angel so CONGRATULATIONS!! :j
Hi and welcome back GISI, you sound like you had a good holiday, funny you should mention maternity leave,Ive been thinking about it loads recently, trying to come up with a date to let my boss know thats when I want to leave, before the deadline of 25weeks pregnant. I know Ive got 2weeks left but Im stressing! Im thinking of leaving 4 weeks before Im due too..so that would be the 30th September but thats a Wednesday and in the middle of a working week for me, so Im thinking of leaving on the Thursday before (end of a working week for me) so that would make it 24th September. I'll be 36weeks. Like GISI I am on my feet at work all the time and it's physical work (cleaning and changing linen) so this is why Im struggling to commit to a certain date. Can it be changed to a sooner date if I find I am really struggling before 36weeks?love my little man he is amazing :j0 -

coming on for bit of a moan so feel free to pass by this post.
Sil gave birth the other day to a lovely little girl, I am happy for them but secretly can't help being a bit jealous as no girls run in our families at all and she is the first to have a girl. She already has a daughter from her first marriage and girl's seem to run in her family, there are no boys. Thankfully she didn't pick a name we liked for our bub but i know we will have another boy and i will be happy but it would have been nice to have one of each. Mil was determined the baby was going to be a girl and she got her wish she has aready said she will be her little princess etc and it just has wound me up a bit.
We are not very close to bil and sil we get on but nit pick at each other and are very glad when visits are over. We got on very well with bil's first wife and i don't think they like it that we still have some but very little contact with her. At the end of the day she is the mother to our nephew we are hardly going to avoid her but this is what in laws have done.
When they had the baby they rang everyone apart from us and sent us a one line txt hours after. We have been told that we must come and see the baby but we are not welcome to stay at their house for the weekend like we have done in the past on visits. Which is fine as i am sure i wouldn't want people staying in my house when i hav a newborn. however we live at opposite ends of the country to each other so we would need to stop in a hotel and at the moment we can't afford to spend what £80 plus petrol, toll fees, food on a visit. In laws are going down this weekend and stopping in a hotel then going away for 2 weeks so we are on grannie duty, then when they come back we go on holiday then i and ds have hospital apts so we can't really see the baby yet anyway. We will have to wait until they can make it up here in aug sometime i think. This is my signature!0 -
Hi, Im ok,bored but can't face the huge pile of ironing or listing on Ebay.love my little man he is amazing :j0

Helen- I think you can change when you want to start ML as long as you give four weeks notice. Do you have any holiday to take before it?
I have 12 weeks left at work, with one of them being a week's hols, so actually 11 weeks left at work. Part of me thinks that sounds like nothing, part of me thinks it sounds like forever.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
