Afternoon all!
Lovely bumps ladies, and lovely scan pic above.
I went to a Bumps, babies and breastfeeding cafe this morning and was the only one there! When I went to the bf class there was only me and another woman! How am I supposed to make friends?
I wandered round town for a bit and a lady in a shop said she could tell I've not got long to go because of how I'm walking - nice to know that even if I have a small bump I do look properly pregnant.
I wonder if that way I'm walking means baby has turned and is now head down? I do hope so.
Got a few clothes in the charity shop to try and tide me over till the end of the pregnancy, and got some sheets to use to make the pattern for my sofa cover which I really must get on with now.
I missed all the discussion about home births but just wanted to say everyone I've spoken to who has had one says the midwives clear up for you so there's not any mess, or at least it's no different to hospital in that respect.
oh yes, and at antenatal last night I learned how to swaddle a baby and was pronounced the class 'natural'! One guy even asked how many children I really have cos he's convinced I've done it before! Well, I reckon it's just easy with a doll but not so much with a wiggling baby.
And the couple joined us who are only doing some of the classes - they lost twins last year (not sure at how many weeks) so that's why they have gone for C-section with this one. So sad for them. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

AW, give it another few weeks and they'll be racing to do it!
Skinty - I find my waddle is different some days to others, maybe it depends on where baby is lying.
Swollen feet again today - not good!!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Hello!!!!!
Got released from hospital last night so only just managing to get on here to post...
Baby Aaron was finally born Tuesday morning by emergency c section, following a failed forceps and abandoned ventouse delivery, after turning back to back at the last minute (literally did it as I was dilating the final cm!) and getting stuck.
Both doing fine, he's happy and healthy and I am recovering well, DH was brilliant and is looking after us both.
Will be back to post more details hopefully later today if I get the chance, along with a pic.0 -

Yes, I think for my own mental wellbeing it will be a godsend. My first birth was an elective c section and was very relaxed and just a nice experience, and that child has no health or learning problems. It was the second one which was an unexpected nightmare, and by coincidence or not that child is severely disabled and I was very seriously physically ill after the birth for about a year, as well as having bad PND/PPP.
The strange thing is that, outside of this one area, I'm actually a really calm laid back kind of person. I am the last person anyone expects to have a panic attack, or to get hysterical or to take any decision in any way other than quite a cold and logical one. So it comes as a huge shock to everyone when I disintegrate at the speed of light in this settingand I get embarrassed and upset about it afterwards too as I am Bree out of Desparate Housewives in soooo many ways (:o:o:o!)
I just need to process it all, but I do feel like a weight has been lifted, and that there will be a way to minimise the risks of the whole experience. Though if you find me over on the Parents Thread in the Autumn in a strange state, you'll know maybe not!
Completely random how it happens. I can be fine then something will trigger a memory and bam! It's all in my head replaying over and over and no matter what I do, it wont stop. Wait till you see me in 2 weeks, the obsession with what I was doing at this point has started, I worked it out that July 10th is the day, 33+2 weeks exactly, and I really tried not to look that up, but I did.
Definitely go for the elective, it's not worth putting yourself through the stress because no matter how hard you try it will be in the back of your mind waiting for you to loose concentration. There is things you should face and things you shouldn't, especially if you will then always be looking out for development problems in the little one.mountainlioness wrote: »hey all just back from London - no-one offered me a seat on the picadilly lineit was soooo hot and stuffy
You should have done a swoon, they may have moved then, especially if you looked a bit green :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Congratulations Honeypop! Glad to hear your doing well
I'm still at work, was about to leave when I got a phone call asking me to look at an agreement straight away and email it to this guy, which I did - took me two hours - only to email it and get an 'out of office until the 6th July' reply  At least I was too busy to feel ill.
Edit: I also didn't get a seat on my train today despite sticking my tummy out and rubbing it.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

I cleaned the inside of my car, hoovered it and everything, then had to go for a shower. My ankles have doubled in size complete with sock marks! Loverly.
Off to dry my hair and drop off DS1, not looking forward to it as DS2 will go loopy when he realises that big brother is not coming home. Will be a night of him howling.0
