Completely random how it happens. I can be fine then something will trigger a memory and bam! It's all in my head replaying over and over and no matter what I do, it wont stop. Wait till you see me in 2 weeks, the obsession with what I was doing at this point has started, I worked it out that July 10th is the day, 33+2 weeks exactly, and I really tried not to look that up, but I did.

Definitely go for the elective, it's not worth putting yourself through the stress because no matter how hard you try it will be in the back of your mind waiting for you to loose concentration. There is things you should face and things you shouldn't, especially if you will then always be looking out for development problems in the little one.

Thanks Tiamai. It does make a difference when people understand where you're coming from, rather than just think you're a random loon, who should just get a grip! Not that anyone has ever said that to me, mind you, but its always in the back of your mind that this must be what they are thinking. God knows what Freud would say about that though!

I am sure I will be looking for development problems in the newbie anyway, cos there's always the risk when you have one on the spectrum that others will be too, but its such a huge spectrum and I know so much more about it now than I did when DD was born that I am sure even with another one we would cope, and there won't be any added nagging doubt that something around the time of the birth made things worse, or triggered a propensity which was latent. Added to which, to be completely honest, it will lessen the fear about me succumbing to PND/PPP again for both me and the OH, and that's not to be sniffed at either.

I'm now only 16th on the list, and at least one of those ladies at the top has probably already popped and just not come back.

Chops - do the batch cooking! You will regret not doing it afterwards, it does take ages and like SM said a few days ago it does feel like you've done a marathon cos you seem to be on the go all day! But it was the best thing I've done (and baby not here yet!)
I've been a good girl and have done it. I haven't done loads because I wanted to get my other jobs done too, but this afternoon I have made two lasagnes, a chicken cannelloni, chicken breasts stuffed with soft cheese and wrapped in ham in a tomato and basil sauce and a HM pizza. So only five meals there but that's five more than there were!

Chops - can you be selective with the meals you have in the next few days and just make huge vats so you can freeze the excess. That's my plan, so I don't have to spend a whole day cooking
That's a good idea. Now I've got a few in there, I'm going to do what you suggest and make double of a couple of dinners next week so they can go in too. The only downside is that the freezers (I've got two) are now both rammed, so I'm going to have to sort them out. There will be room for some more meals, but they just need tidying up first. And, of course, there is no point in just emptying the freezers and putting the stuff back in, I might as well give them a quick clean too. A job for next week I think, unless I get bored over the weekend.

Aw chopsticks I really feel for you, I remember what I was like at the end of my last pregnancy I couldn't "be" anywhere it was all so uncomfortable. My OH doesn't know what he's in for in the last month or so - I remember whingeing for England last time! I can only imagine me getting that way again as the the restless legs, heartburn and general shatteredness is already getting to me x
Thanks Fidget. I sometimes feel that I don't do anything but moan to my DH (and you lot). DH has been very good though and hasn't moaned about me complaining, bless him. I totally agree on the "could be anywhere" bit - my feet ache if I've been on them for a few hours, so then I have a sit down or a lie down and then the restless legs start, so I have to get up and move around again!

p1tse - congratulations and welcome to the thread!!

SugarSpun - I would feel totally the same about the name thing if I was you. The piano story has made me giggle!!

Honeypop - congratulations on the arrival of baby Aaron. Looking forward to your BS when you get a moment.

Am I the only one who gets excited the closer I get to the top, rather than scared?

    Am I weird?
