I'm quite lucky in my area - the teens live further away. The children near us are too young for alcohol.

Great thinking on the MS. I'm thinking of trying geocaching. I got some maps for DH for exploring bridleways (vehicle accessible ones) and he suggested we look for geocaches too whilst we are out.

Have been washing all weekend (or so it seems) and still more to do to catch up from having been away quite a bit with work and having studying to do too.

It was lovely and peaceful in my garden today up until the lad over the back from us decided to start playing his drums (badly). At least it was about 6pm and I had a day of peace. this is usually in competition with a couple of doors down when they have friends over and play loud music out of their bedroom window. I dont mind it too much as its music I like lol and not too often but my elderly neighbours must hate it!

    Ladies :)

I'm with you on the noise pollution front - It drives me mad that you cant sit in your garden for music going, DIY jobs banging or other children shouting and blowing trumpets _party_...I could throttle that child!

It didnt help being sat out in the gorgeous sunshine and that we got the baby to sleep in the garden and off it went again!

I just wanted to tell you that I too am now going to be a SAHM .. I blame you :D when this new baby is born. I'm so nervous about it as I only decided yesterday and the paperwork is going to H.R tomorrow...or is that today. If you look at the time Im obviously worrying about it as Im up out of bed.

Anyway..Michelle you're doing extremely well and you keep me going with the little things I do in my own life in order to save on the pennies.

    Thank you! :)

Result on the bathroom! That will make it so much easier for you. I would definatley try and get your DH to go with you for the jabs - it wasn't much fun having the pre-school one done and your boy is a big one like mine so you might need DH to hold DS as its amazing how strong they can be!

Its cooler here today too, a lovely wind blowing so it much nicer.
Trying to do one positive thing (however how small) per day to be mortgage free/reduced and be frugal but still enjoy life!
    Debt LBM Feb 2010 = £7841.97/ now £0, MFW 2011 = £9k in savings
MFW target 2012 to save £11,000 for Over Payments/fill ISA's and reduce lots of things - outgoings, alcohol, waste, weight
  • Money -
    • DHs car cost £240. Apparently it is driving a lot better. Fingers crossed that is it till new tyres now.
    • 2/6 ebay items ending tonight have already sold. (£1.50 + postage.)
    • 5 more items listed on ebay tonight to end on Sunday. More of the kids outgrown stuff.
    • spent £5 in supermarket earlier.
    • managed to feed one cat on free food from MS for 2 days now.
    Diet -
despite scoffing biccies earlier, i still did ok calories wise after taking into account the walk to the post office with the buggy. According to the food focus website as recommended by taka, i should have lost 0.58 Ibs after 2 days. Today was tough though as i have been hungry all day. Not sure why as i have indulged in snacks. Maybe because yesterday went quicker after spending 50 minutes on the exercise bike.

Stick with it, you are doing really well, both on the money and the diet front. Make sure you are having enugh calories though or you will soon get dishartened and give up. Slowly, small baby steps-we can do this!

    Morning!

Well done on all your OPs and on the diet front too. Yeah, I thought it was 3-6 weeks before new habits became ingrained, so just think - by the end of June or sooner you won't want biscuits anymore! :j
    Updating soon...

    Hi Michelle,
Just a flying visit to say I think you are doing brilliantly. Not updated my thread for a while, but didn't want to read and run. Keep up the good work, and do a 'proper' post tomorrow
