You have got the wrong idea about what we are talking about.

We were referring to a trial visit/test visit whatever you want to call it for Tern.

Before they accept you onto their books, they ask you to write a report just so they can see what your English is like, your spelling, grammar, etc.

With this report, they even state you can use one you have done before or, if you want to, can go and do the MS and treat it as a real assignment, but it is not paid as it is just a trial!

What a lot of people do is use a previous shop report and just change the words around a bit, or just make it up. Tern read your report based on your English, they couldnt care if you actually went or not.

I am sure the others will back me up when I say this - we would never fake a real MS - its not fair on the clients and totally defeats the whole point of having mystery shoppers.

So, next time, before your next rant - I suggest you read our posts properly and not take them out of context ;)

Maybe the person should mention the trail visit in their post then. I read it the same. I don't think it was a rant from Taggie.

Why bite someone head of for pointing something out?

Well anyone who did make up reports for genuine mystery shops would soon be sussed and blocked so it's all fairly moot.
People who genuinely want to earn from MSing are likely to read properly rather than skim anyway.

As for friendliness-we have friendly people, helpful people and those who don't suffer fools gladly (and some of us can even be all three)......bit like real life really !!

I also notice, glancing through posts, that there are unfriendly people on here too, that can be quite nasty to other people!!!!

I personally found your post to be very nasty. However what is worse is that when it was pointed out that you were in the wrong you haven't even big enough to admit it and say that you're sorry! You've just gone very defensive instead trying to blame everyone else but yourself. If you'd have just accepted you'd made a mistake and apologised everyone would have been much nicer to you as EVERYONE makes mistakes.

  • I have a question about the Small Spanish meals on RE. I managed to pick a couple of these up last night, and I have been reading through the questionnaire this morning - I am confused! I think I am meant to order a glass of wine, a coke/ diet coke, and 3 mini dishes, one of which is a salmon one. But the questionaire talks about ordering a Peroni beer, and taking kids!
Also, if I left a tip, would this be covered by the reimbursement (if I was spending under it otherwise) :D

I don't know if people are being affected by the hot weather, but there certainly have been a few heated discussions on this board the last few days!

I think we should all remember that we're all working towards the same goal, and mostly the same companies! This is a fantastic resource for any past, present or future Mystery Shoppers and I know I've greatly benefitted from it. Let's keep it that way!
